Biden Announces National Campaign Against Antisemitism

I wish that the headline was true.  The Hamas attacks in Israel on October 7th were the worst attacks on Jews since the Holocaust. Since then, we have seen disgusting acts of anti-Semitism on American college campuses and in the streets of our cities.

What is the administration’s response to this?   A plan to fight…wait for it…Islamophobia.  The country has been engulfed in protests and riots against Jews.  But the administration thinks it’s time to fight Islamophobia. This is insane.

Plans for the initiative, which the White House has billed is the first of its kind, were announced Wednesday. It is meant to bring together lawmakers, advocacy groups and other community leaders with the administration in order to “counter the scourge of Islamophobia and hate in all its forms,” the White House said.

Where is this scourge of Islamophobia?  It certainly isn’t on our college campuses which have turned into hotbeds of antisemitism.  It certainly wasn’t at the gates of the White House on Saturday when “peaceful antisemitic protesters” attempted to scale the fences.

It is hard to believe just how tone deaf this administration is.  But then again, their intent is not to support Israel in its battle for survival despite any posturing that might indicate otherwise.  Already there are calls from the administration for a ceasefire.  How many ceasefires has Hamas and the Palestinians violated over the years?  Calling for a ceasefire is calling for Israel to participate in its own demise.
