Since the start of the war on Israel by Hamas, the world’s attention has not been on Ukraine. And as far as western leaders are concerned, that is a good thing. Why? Since March of 2022, Ukraine has been losing men and materials at a steadily increasing rate.
Any western intelligence expert worth his salt knows that the war there is at a designed stalemate. Russia has achieved what Putin said were its objectives. The western frontlines are fortified at such strategic scale that no one with any intelligence in the West would dare to propose a direct confrontation.
Ukraine has lost well more than 100,000 KIA, perhaps more than 200,000. Cemeteries are overflowing with dead Ukrainian soldiers. The so-called offensives during the summer and fall have been a meat grinder that continues to use up men and equipment.
This is the war that Obama laid the seeds for in 2014 (MInsk Agreement). Biden opened the floodgates in late 2021. These people wanted this war. NATO and the US would wipe out the antiquated Russian Army. Once this was accomplished, the West would split the spoils of such a war. Clearly the neocons here and abroad were living in some alternate reality.
Now the question is how can they exit this mess? How can the leaders of this almighty screwup explain to their citizens how and why they engaged in such a fiasco? How can they justify the expenditure of so much men and money?

This is the reality on the ground in Ukraine, and if you look carefully at western reporting, you will see indications of the unspoken truth.
Bild reported that inside the German govt, there are leaks about conversations between U.S and German officials. “While outwardly expressing full support for Ukraine, behind closed doors in Berlin and Washington plans are being hatched to force Ukraine into talks with Russia to freeze the war on its current front lines, German newspaper BILD said in a report published on Nov. 24.” {link}
The Biden administration, specifically the Dept of State and CIA are now managing the narrative. The Eastern EU bloc (NATO realists) well understand the dynamic, although you will see opaque indications from traditional western media. However, if you look carefully, you will note one of the indications of this dynamic can be found in the unwillingness of the U.S. to provide logistical support for advanced M1A2 tanks to engage the Russian lines {link}.
And let’s not forget the Russian people overwhelming support the efforts of Putin. They are all in on defending Russia’s national interests from Western encroachment.
How could our intelligence agencies have been so wrong about Russia’s capabilities? The sanctions were supposed to drive Russia to its knees. While the ruble initially took a hit, that did not last long. The ruble is now stronger than it has been in a long time. And this is despite the West blowing up the Nord Stream pipelines.
The West’s advanced weaponry would obliterate Russian defenses. While there were times when the Russians were put back on their heels when some new weapon entered the playing field, the Russians adapted and neutralized the advantage.
Were our intelligence agencies as stupid as it appears they were? Or was this another step in the Obama/Biden playbook to weaken and destroy America? Or was this just another money laundering scheme to fatten the pocketbooks of Washington politicians? Or are all of these true?
