Bud Light of the Ivies

Harvard is proving to be the Bud Light of the Ivies.  Claudine Gay is as much kryptonite for Harvard as Dylan Mulvaney was for Anheuser Busch.

Gay announced her resignation from the presidency of Harvard on Tuesday.  The woke left is characterizing this is the result of racism.  Perhaps this is so.  After all a serial white plagiarizer still occupies the White House despite the broad knowledge that he did such things.

CNN apparently sees no problem with Gay’s plagiarism.  The bobblehead Matt Egan who came on to defend her noted:

”We should note that Claudine Gay has not been accused of stealing anyone’s ideas in any of her writings. She has been accused of sort of more like copying other people’s writings without attribution. So, it’s been more sloppy attribution than stealing anyone’s ideas.”

For the record, it should be noted that copying other people’s writings without attribution is the very definition of plagiarism.

This has been the shortest term of office for any President of Harvard in the institution’s history.  Early admission registrations are down significantly (some 17% at last review).  Major donors have withdrawn their support of the institution.

This comes after three such individuals Gay included essentially told America that no one has the right to question them about how they run their institutions.  Gay has grievously stained Harvard’s reputation through her appearance before Congress and now with the subsequent revelations about how she did not do her own work for her doctoral thesis.

The Harvard Board is exposed as not having properly vetted her in the first place.  Did she get her place at Harvard on the faculty because she checked certain boxes?  How about the job she just resigned from?  This is turning into one of the most shameful episodes in Harvard’s history.

Is yelling racism as she does in her resignation letter the way that she rose to be a Dean at Harvard?  Is this why the Lightbringer wanted her as head of Harvard?  Gay has become the poster child for anti-meritocracy.  Was Gay put there to protect Obama from any curious journalists who might have felt compelled to investigate his tenure at the Harvard Law Review and critique his writings?  Most of us know that he did not write the two books he claimed to have authored.  Someone else actually ghost wrote them.

Bud Light move over.  Make room for Harvard on the altar of wokeness and idiocy.

Is this story over?  I think not.
