Never Nikki

Senator Rand Paul just launched #NeverNikki, a campaign to generate opposition to the execrable Nikki Haley. And good for him.

There is zero grassroots support for the execrable Nikki Haley. None. She is the corporate candidate, the candidate of big money and big media.  Democrats are now trying to elevate her campaign.  Democrats are being urged to cross party lines and vote for her in the New Hampshire primary.  Why?

She is the candidate for people who enjoy the boot on the neck, who like when people who pretend to be their champions betray them at every turn.

She is the candidate for people who think the country is about 7% off course.

She is the candidate for people who think to themselves: I’m really pleased by the performance of the political establishment! It surely has my best interests at heart!

She is the master of the flip-flop.  Lindsey Graham may be a weather vane but Nikki could teach him a thing or two.

There is nothing moderate about Nikki Haley. She’ll spend a gazillion dollars, and she’ll carry on the war-mongering with the idiotic and destructive bipartisan foreign policy of the past however many years.

I happen to like Vivek Ramaswamy. Maybe he could be a 2028 candidate.

I’ve watched him turn the tables on the media and start asking them questions. Like: how many of you will admit that the Hunter Biden laptop story, whereby it was supposed to have been Russian disinformation, was a lie? And he went on to list several examples of obvious lies and distortions and demand to know if they themselves fell for them.

I’ve watched him allow hecklers in to his events so he can debate them one on one

I’ve seen FOX News, CNN, and the New York Times exclude him from their caucus coverage, and that’s always a good sign.

During whiteout blizzard conditions In Iowa, he’s held event after event after event, and has held more events than the other candidates combined. He’s visited all of Iowa’s nearly 100 counties — twice.

Nope, don’t agree with Vivek on everything, and all the usual caveats, but at age 76 you realize that when you live in a country as deeply divided as this one, you’re not going to get everything you want. So get as much as you can.

Part of getting as much as you can is seeing Nikki Haley’s campaign go down in flames.  Onward to New Hampshire.
