Ukraine

Avdeyevka has fallen.  Not heard of this?  That’s not surprising.  Sen. Schumer still needs to ram some more money laundering legislation through Congress so that our political elites can sleep easier at night.  A faltering effort by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) while Zelenskyy is in Munich begging for help does not look good.

Why is Avdeyevka important?  Some will say that Russia has been investing effort in this area for some time.  In some ways this has been a frontline for close to a decade.  Ukraine had built a lot of it into a fortress during that length of time.  This was especially true around the coke plant there.

The Russians tried to take this area almost a year ago and failed miserably.  It was one of a very few successes that the UAF had last year.  This was trumpeted in the media as proof that Ukraine was winning the war.

This time the UAF at Avdeyevka collapsed in a matter of days.  Why?  It appears that the UAF leadership lost control of their forces there.  The 3rd assault brigade was positioned just outside the city.  It appears that they were ordered to help defend the fortress that was there and refused to do so.  They viewed the attempt as a suicide mission.  Once they left, the remaining forces abandoned the field.

The withdrawal was chaotic.  Estimates are that some 2300 UAF were killed, wounded or captured in one day!  This would be the largest such numbers have ever been in this war.

General Syrski claimed, after the fact, that this was an ordered withdrawal.  That’s total BS.  An orderly withdrawal would have some casualties.  However, it would not be anything like what was seen here.  These units essentially abandoned their positions very quickly.  A disorderly retreat took place.

And this is the problem for Ukraine.  Troops were ordered to defend and they chose not to.  Is the will of the Ukrainian troops faltering?  Are the troops losing confidence in their leadership?  Did the change in the commander-in-chief have anything to do with this?  This kind of thing happens slowly at first.  This can turn into an epidemic quickly.

Chuck Schumer likes to threaten the American people with their sons and daughters dying “over there.”  This would be in the proxy war that was started by the neocons in our own government and seeded in the governments of many western countries.

It is time to say “Enough!” and stop sending money there that could be better spent here in our own country.
