On Thursday, the carnival will descend on Washington DC. As with all carnivals, there will be the usual flimflam acts. These are acts designed to deceive the public and pretend that something is true when it is not. And just where will these carnival acts take place? Why, in the US Capitol Building, of course. They will be part of the State of the Union address from the most feeble-minded President in US history.
What will Joe Biden try to sell us? Will it be that Bidenomics also known as Obamanomics is making everybody’s lives better in this country? That is the narrative that Big Media has been pushing for the last few months. This ignores the fact that an average family of four is spending between $11,000 and $19,000 more for the same goods since January 20, 2021. This will be a pretty difficult sell even for a good carnival barker let alone Joe Biden.
Will Biden try to sell us on the border being secure? This has been the longstanding claim by the administration. Recently as more and more stories about the rampant crime wave being exacerbated by the invasion across our southern border, the narrative has changed. Now it is that the Republicans are to blame. This ignores the fact that illegal border crossings had been just a trickle before Biden took office. Will Biden try to claim that he is powerless to stop this invasion because the Republicans will not approve funds for the money pit that Ukraine has become?
Will Biden try to scare Americans into supporting more financial aid for Ukraine? Will he claim that we must “save democracy?” This is another hard sell. At this point most Americans have figured out that Ukraine is just a money laundering operation for the rich and powerful. The war there has been won by Russia and it is just a matter of time before the Ukrainian military collapses with or without further aid from the West.
The Democrats have nothing to run on. Every policy has made the lives of Americans worse than it was before Biden took office. So, they will try to convince the public that the Republicans led by PDJT are corrupt and evil. Their only hope is to smear the good names of people who believe in freedom and liberty.
So, where will the Democrats go to try to drum up support for their senile leader? The one issue where the Democrats can rile people up is abortion. Will we see some lies told that women are dying because of the reversal of Roe v Wade? Who will they use to propagate this false narrative?
One prominent case was one involving Kate Cox. Cox maintained that she had a medical emergency that necessitated an abortion, and that Texas law was preventing that abortion nonetheless. The case went to the Texas Supreme Court. Before the Court issued its ruling, she obtained the abortion out of state.
“A pregnant woman does not need a court order to have a lifesaving abortion in Texas.” So declared the Texas Supreme Court on December 11, 2023. The Democrats will declare falsely that a woman should not have to go to court to get permission for an abortion.
The Texas law is quite clear. It has an exception that would allow Cox to have an abortion if in fact her doctor, using reasonable medical judgment, attested that her patient has a condition requiring this. This is similar to such exceptions codified in the laws of other states with abortion bans.
Will we hear that it is despicable that judges and politicians are making healthcare decisions for pregnant women instead of their doctors? Yet it is not Texas law that stood in the way of Cox’s abortion. It is not the Texas courts and lawmakers who stood in the way of Cox’s abortion. As the Court noted, “The Legislature…has delegated to the medical—rather than the legal—profession the decision about when a woman’s medical circumstances warrant this exception.”
Facts rarely matter to the Left. Money and power are all that matters. Get ready for the carnival to descend on DC.
