From Bob Livingston:
From a press release by the House Judiciary Committee: “New documents obtained by the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government reveal that the Federal government flagged terms like ‘MAGA’ and ‘TRUMP’ for financial institutions if Americans used those phrases when completing transactions. Individuals who shopped at stores like Cabela’s or Dick’s Sporting Goods, or purchased religious texts like a bible, may also have had their transactions flagged.”
According to this analysis, the release continues, “…FinCEN urged large financial institutions to comb through the private transactions of their customers for suspicious charges on the basis of protected political and religious expression.”
“This kind of pervasive financial surveillance, carried out in coordination with and at the request of Federal law enforcement, into Americans’ private transactions is alarming and raises serious concerns about the FBI’s respect for fundamental civil liberties.”
How is any of this legal without a warrant?
A gentleman that I spoke to outside a Trump rally told me an interesting story. It seems that his wife was shopping around for car insurance. His wife asked for a quote from one agent. The agent came back and told her he could not give her a quote because her husband was on a terrorist watch list.
The husband’s crime? That is where it gets really interesting. The gentleman had no arrests in his background. Of course, no one could tell him why he was on such a list. The only thing the couple could figure out was that the husband had attended several Trump rallies.
And you thought they were only after those attended the Latin Mass.
