Guess who is responsible for rising incidences of grand theft auto? If I hadn’t been able to verify this story from multiple sources, I would have thought the source of this story to be a Babylon Bee article.
The top law enforcement officer in Minnesota, communist Attorney General Keith Ellison, is investigating two auto manufacturers for “making cars that are too easy to steal.” This is real. It is not a spoof.
“But we have to go upstream, and we got to make sure that the automobiles are not so easy to steal that they are a tempting, attractive nuisance for young people. Right now we are investigating two major automakers because their cars are dramatically too easy to steal for young people.”
This “elected” official is not the only one going off in this direction. Chicago did something similar last year. Kia America, Inc., Kia Corporation, Hyundai Motor America, and Hyundai Motor Company were sued for their failure to include industry-standard engine immobilizers in multiple models of their vehicles, resulting in a steep rise in vehicle thefts, reckless driving, property damage, and a wide array of related violent crimes in Chicago.
In Canada recently, they advised homeowners to leave the keys to their vehicles by the front door so that homeowners can avoid confrontations with potential thieves.
Stupid is as stupid does.
Let’s look at this list.
It is now blame the car makers for the surge in car thefts. It is blame the gun makers if a criminal uses a gun during a crime. It is blame the retail stores for the dramatic increase in looting and other criminal acts. And God help you if you try to stop a criminal. You will rot in jail while the perpetrator of the crime will be released without bail.
We live in a world where our politicians are criminalizing law-abiding citizens but assisting criminals in law-breaking, and telling them it’s okay to live the life of a criminal…keep it up. And the Democrats told us the adults would be in charge if we would only elect them to positions of power. How has that worked out?
How about these people with nothing better to do try figuring out why certain “young people” evidently think stealing cars is a good thing to do. But no! Those “young people” are victims of the automakers.
Everywhere we turn, a standard is being discarded, something noble is being trampled and something good and wholesome is being mocked.
It is truly time to return to our roots as a nation. And those roots are religious and moral in nature.
