Peace

Peace is something that was achieved under the administration of PDJT.  Now not so much.  In fact, we appear to be teetering on the brink of World War III.

We are beginning to hear rumbles about peace in Ukraine.  That may happen.  But if it does happen, it will be on Russia’s terms no matter how Big Media tries to spin the story.

These rumbles of peace are coming about because of a planned conference now being set for June 15-16 in Lucerne, Switzerland.  Supposedly this conference will try to chart a path to peace.  Some 100 countries have been invited but not Russia.  The media reports that the sponsors of the conference hope that Russia might join in the peace process some day.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated:

“That this is a road to nowhere, to put it mildly, is obvious to any normal political observer. Yesterday, Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin once again made our position clear and understandable during the meeting with Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko.

“I have nothing to add. We do not see any desire in Kiev or on the part of its masters to conduct business in a fair way.”

Zelensky has previously laid out a “10-point peace plan”. Russia has rejected it as a non-starter, given especially since it calls for all Russian troops to leave Ukraine and then cede back captured territory. None of that is going to happen.  My guess is that Ukraine will be lucky to exist as a political entity when the war is over.

Russia will accept nothing less than No NATO, No Ukraine Army and the four regions and Crimea are Russian.  Barring that happening, one can expect the capitulation of Kiev.

At this point Russia has no interest in giving anything to the West and the incompetents who hold power there.  In fact, Russia’s attacks are now targeting critical energy infrastructure in Ukraine.  According to Simplicious who has been spot on during most of this conflict, since 4-11-24, the following were destroyed:

  • Tripolye (Kyiv region). Trypilska Thermal Power Plant.
  • Kharkov, CHPP-3.
  • Kharkov, plant named after. Malysheva, workshop No. 510 and building No. 400.
  • Chuguev (Kharkov region). Central warehouse of engineering ammunition of military unit A-2467.
  • Kharkov, Turboatom plant. Foundry shop and KEMZ building.
  • Stry (Lviv region), gas collection point No. 2.
  • Susk (Rivne region). 1448th Central Artillery Weapons Base.
  • Chervonograd (Lviv region). 72nd separate mechanization battalion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
  • Chervonograd (Lviv region), substation “Chervonograd-2” 110/35/6 kV.
  • Odessa, substation 330/110/10 kV “Usatovo”.

These are all non-nuclear facilities.  By destroyed is meant that this was not just knocking out the transmission facilities from these power stations.  The turbine rooms, which are much harder to replace/repair, were destroyed.

When Russia stops advancing, Big Media will probably try to spin some story about stopping Russia through the “heroic efforts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces”.  That will be just BS.  Nothing short of a nuclear strike will stop Russia from achieving its objectives in Ukraine.  And if nukes get used, millions will die on both sides of the war.

Are the leaders in the West stupid enough to use nukes?  This is a real question that has no answer right now.
