It does not matter what this administration does. Somehow the Communists Democrats will spin events that are good for Americans as something evil. Everything that is good will become corrupt. And evil will be portrayed as good.
President Donald Trump announced an unprecedented U.S. push to take control of a fifth of Venezuela’s vast oil reserves, betting that American companies can revive the OPEC nation’s battered energy industry while delivering a new source of crude to help bring down U.S. gas prices.
“At my direction, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, working closely with Highly Respected Interim President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodriguez, and, through a partnership with private business, have secured majority U.S. control of more than 65 BILLION BARRELS of proven Oil Reserves in Venezuela, at no cost to the American Taxpayer,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Two Senate Democrats went on the record this week attacking President Trump’s new Venezuela oil agreement as a corrupt profit scheme — and in making their case, they ended up conceding the real story instead. Senator Chris Van Hollen led the charge:

Of course, there are cognitively impaired Democrats who will actually believe this BS and a bunch more BS that they pronounce.
Senator Van Hollen is one of those Democrats that believe violent criminals who are also illegal aliens, should not be deported. In April 2025, Van Hollen traveled to El Salvador, advocating for the release of Maryland resident Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Of course, Garcia is an illegal alien, who has committed violent crimes and has a final order of deportation. Van Hollen had cocktails with Garcia in El Salvador.
Senator Tim Kaine went even further than Van Hollen, insisting the deal explains Trump’s real motive for driving Nicolás Maduro’s brutal socialist dictatorship out of Venezuela in the first place. According to Kaine, it could not have anything to do with Maduro being a narco-terrorist dictator.

Strip away the outrage. Understand what both senators just admitted: an American president took down a 𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐨-𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫. This dictator had ruled Venezuela through Chavista terror for a quarter-century. Maduro had nationalized the oil industry without compensating the companies who had built the oil field infrastructure. That specific transaction is why there was an international arrest warrant for Maduro.
Trump has now secured U.S. rights to 𝟐𝟏 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲’𝐬 𝟑𝟎𝟑-𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧-𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐢𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 in the process. That access is projected to bolster America’s own strategic petroleum reserves, ease pressure on gas prices at the pump, and shut China out of a hemisphere it has been buying its way into for years.
And that right there is the basic problem for any Democrat. The Democrats need the public to be dependent on the government. Dependency makes the public easier to control. Allowing people to thrive on their own initiative is a big no-no for Democrats.
For two senators who have spent years demanding Washington hold dictators accountable and counter Beijing’s influence, toppling Maduro and locking China out of Venezuela’s oil fields should read like a win by their own standard. Instead, because that win benefits American drivers instead of a think-tank talking point, they are calling it a 𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐮𝐭𝐲.
Nothing in Van Hollen’s or Kaine’s statements disputes the facts they are conceding — Maduro is gone, his handpicked vice president still holds Caracas, and Machado, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐨𝐱, remains locked out. Their real complaint isn’t that Trump did too little for Venezuelan democracy. It’s that PDJT did too much for America…again.
