Ukraine is fighting a media/propaganda war. The Leipzig-Halle Airport “drone attack” from August 5th is front and center again. The initial story stated that, at an area within the airport complex in Germany, a small tour group noticed a drone flying low to the ground in/around the area where cargo planes are located.
The driver of the bus got out, pushed the drone to the ground and called airport authorities to notify them. The drone was located near the area where two Ukrainian Antonov aircraft were located.
The drone was a quadcopter type, with limited distance capabilities. Inspection of the drone revealed it carried 800 grams of explosive material and a faulty detonator. The drone was taken into custody by airport authorities.
The Leipzig-Halle airport drone “attack” held all of the conspicuous indications of a false flag attack. The quadcopter drone was a limited range, battery powered small drone carrying a rudimentary IED type explosive. It needed to be operated and controlled by someone very close to the area, and the cargo area of the airport is a closed-loop security zone.
Nothing about the method, timing or location of the “drone attack” spoke to any value or importance for Russian interests in the Ukraine conflict. However, for propaganda purposes of expanding the war, the created narrative holds much value. It gives the European politicians, whose economies are cratering, the opportunity to direct public attention away from the mess they have created.
The EU economies need something to keep them afloat. Germany, the EU’s largest economy, has seen the exit of large employers, Volkswagen among them, due to soaring energy costs created by the EU’s buying into the green energy scam.
Calling the drone “attack” an act of war is an attempt by various EU persons to move the Overton window toward accepting that a war must be fought. Germany is now doing that to test whether the full NATO alliance is willing to join them in military combat operations against Russia.

European NATO allies were quick to pick up the catchphrase “hybrid war” with statements from NATO General Secretary Mark Rutte, EU Commissioner Ursula von der Leyen, Finland President Alexander Stubb, Italian President Giorgia Meloni and many more. Coordinated and timed to happen in unison, the EU-NATO nations now align to expand their war footing against Russia. All of this was/is easily predictable. This is by design.
Zelenskyy is no dummy. Zelenskyy needs a lot of help if Ukraine is to have any chance to create a stalemate that might force Russia to the bargaining table. The Leipzig-Halle drone operation was more than likely carried out by the same country who bombed the Nordstream pipeline. That was Ukraine.
Zelenskyy took advantage of these announcements from the EU countries to threaten all airline travel in Russia, in an obvious attempt to influence airline insurance carriers and shut down Russian civilian airspace.
Where is all this headed? Unfortunately, the pattern with Zelenskyy is very predictable. The next thing we will see is a commercial airliner in Russia targeted and brought down by Ukraine drones and/or missile operations. Zelenskyy will fall back on this warning from today as a justification for the purposeful targeting of an airliner in Russia.
If and when this happens, the EU leaders will be horrified publicly. However, let there be no doubt these same EU leaders are intent on expanding the conflict because their economies are in a shambles. They have spent most of the stolen Russian sovereign wealth fund, they are going broke sending Ukraine money, their Green Energy policies are destroying their industrial sectors.
Without regime change in Ukraine, how will this all end?
