Dealing With Extremists

We have heard a lot about the threat from “domestic extremists” from the current administration. In order to understand the potential threat, a clear understanding of the word extremist is needed.

According to the Oxford Dictionary, an extremist is:

A person who holds extreme or fanatical political or religious views, especially one who resorts to or advocates extreme action.

Such people oppose the core principles of democracy and civil rights. Political extremists often show disdain for the rights and liberties of others. However, any attempts to limit their activities result in resentment and violence. Extremists favor censorship of those of differing viewpoints but use intimidation and manipulation to spread their own assertions and claims. They often use “injustice” as an excuse for acts of violence.

The left was successful. They have now shown that they can take a situation where a man who tried to save another man’s life can be convicted of murder. The facts of the case clearly showed that Floyd died of a drug overdose. The toxicology report in the autopsy was unequivocal. Floyd had a three-fold fatal level of fentanyl in his system. George Floyd is dead because of George Floyd, no one else.

The medical examiner said so publicly but delivered a finding on the autopsy report that allowed this charade of a trial to go forth. There were no ill intentions from Chauvin. He was simply trying to use the methods available to him to secure the subject until he could be passed off to the ambulance. The “right verdict” was not guilty and it wasn’t even close.

Disinformation

I found an interesting post over the weekend that I am sharing below. In my opinion, more and more Americans are seeing through the disinformation campaign that is put on by the Democrats and their media allies. Conversations that I have regularly with people has a common theme. That is, one cannot trust anything that the media publishes.

The Rise of Naziism

Several times over the past year I have mentioned the striking parallels between the activities of the Democratic Party since Obama was elected and the rise of the Nazis in Germany during the 1920’s and 1930’s. These parallels are being noticed by more people. Steve McCann has produced two excellent columns over at American Thinker on this subject. I will be borrowing from his efforts here.

There is little doubt about the Nazi tactics being used by the left to fundamentally transform America from a constitutional republic into a socialist/communist state with one-party, totalitarian rule. The Democrats continue to try to exploit fears of “systemic racism” and “white supremacy” to advance their agenda of controlling the public just as the Nazis did almost a century ago. Witness the barbed wire enclosure of the Capitol in the face of a supposed imminent threat to the constitutional order of the country. Witness the charges of “insurrection” against people who peacefully protested the stealing of the 2020 election.

George Floyd: Myth vs Facts

With the trial of Officer Derek Chauvin underway in the Hennepin County courthouse (jury selection is underway), it might be a good time to revisit the circumstances of George Floyd’s death.

David Read has done a yeoman’s job of detailing the myths and the facts of Floyd’s death.

Read notes:

“Who was George Floyd? A criminal, for one thing. Floyd had several drug arrests on his rap sheet. His most serious offense was a home-invasion robbery in which he held a gun to a pregnant woman’s belly, a crime for which he served five years in a Texas jail. Originally from Houston, Floyd moved to Minneapolis and, at the time of his death last May, was working as a bouncer at a nightclub.”

These are facts that no one disputes. Floyd’s crimes are a matter of public record. Also well known is the fact that he worked as a bouncer for a nightclub. Also known by most of the public is that he died while lying on a Minneapolis street with Officer Chauvin keeping him prone by the use of his knee on Floyd’s neck.

The trial of Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin is underway in Hennepin County in Minnesota. For those who may have forgotten, Chauvin is facing charges of murder for trying to save George Floyd’s life after Floyd had overdosed on drugs. Just like the George Zimmerman case, these charges should never have been brought.

Insurrection!

Democrat supporters “stormed” the Georgia State Capitol on Monday after legislators passed a Voter ID requirement for absentee ballots.

The usual culprits advanced the idea that requiring someone to prove who they are is somehow contrary to basic American values concerning free and fair elections. MSM reporting claimed that voter access was being “rolled back”. No one in the MSM explained how this was so. Everyone who could vote previously will still be able to vote.

The problem for the Democrats is that this makes it harder to cheat.

Former Gen. Stanley McChrystal:

“I did see a similar dynamic in the evolution of al-Qaida in Iraq where a whole generation of angry Arab youth with very poor prospects followed a powerful leader who promised to take them back in time to a better place, and he led them to embrace an ideology that justified their violence. This is now happening in America.”

McChrystal is, of course, referring to PDJT as the powerful leader. Just how has PDJT led people to embrace violence as a solution to the problems plaguing the country? Did PDJT encourage BLM and Antifa to burn, pillage, loot and kill during the summer? Did PDJT order the police to stand down and allow burning, pillaging, looting and killing?
