The annual event is underway.  On Thursday a cheerleader from Indiana University became a “One Shining Moment” participant.

Thursday’s first-round game between No. 5 Saint Mary’s and No. 12 Indiana, won 82-53 by the Gaels, was delayed in the second half when the ball became stuck on top of the backboard at the Moda Center in Portland.

Most men just want to be left alone to live their lives and provide for their families and those whom they care about.  The left is making that nigh near impossible today.  More and more people are getting up out of their easy chairs and taking a stand for individual liberty and freedom.  I am seeing this more and more often in comments to various articles that appear on the Web.  This quote by an unknown author may be appropriate to what may happen in the near future.

Mandates

The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans ruled 2-1 Wednesday to maintain a block on the mandate that a Texas-based federal judge had issued on Jan. 21. The administration had asked the New Orleans court for an injunction allowing the federal worker mandate to move forward pending appeal.

President Joe Biden announced in September that more than 3.5 million federal workers were required to undergo vaccination, with no option to get regularly tested instead, unless they secured approved medical or religious exemptions. The requirement kicked in this past November.  That mandate continues to be blocked.

Solidarity

The images coming out of NYC on Friday were simply incredible.

I lived in the NYC metro area for many years.  There have been many deaths of police officers in the NYPD over the years. There was always a good turnout of officers paying their last respects when an officer was killed in the line of duty.  In many cases, officers from neighboring communities in the NYC metro area would show up as well.  However, I have never seen a turnout like what took place on Friday.

Agitprop works because it gets to people to think about what is going on.

Big Media’s narrative engineers are slowly losing their power over the people.  They still control the communications media but are increasingly being sidestepped by more and more people as a reliable source for what is happening in the country.  Pretty soon CNN may have more employees than viewers.
