The Nashville Manifesto

Comments Off on The Nashville Manifesto

We, the ordinary folk, were never supposed to read any of these pages.  Those in power tried to suppress this from getting out to the public.  But, finally some portions of the writings of this unbalanced LGBTer have emerged.

Three pages of the manifesto were leaked by Louder with Crowder on various social media platforms.  Almost immediately Facebook responded by censoring the content.  Google also got involved. The powers that be will continue to try to suppress this.

Gaps

      Comments Off on Gaps

Are we headed towards another 9/11 type of event here in this country?  The neocons who exist in Washington seem to still believe that America is immune to having a large-scale terrorist event unfold in this country.  I am not talking about the so-called lone wolf actors that the FBI seems to enable.  I am talking about a coordinated attack on multiple targets just as happened in 2001.

State Media

      Comments Off on State Media

One has often heard about state-run media in countries where freedoms are suppressed.  The reason for the existence of such media is to paint as rosy a picture of the government as possible.  Pravda in the old Soviet Union is one such source.  At least in the Soviet Union most people understood that facts were not in abundance in that publication.

Anger

      Comments Off on Anger

Thoughts that echo through an idle mind.

Speaker Pro Tempore of the House Patrick McHenry was visibly furious over the ouster of Kevin McCarthy as Speaker.  Was this because Pelosi and Steny Hoyer had promised to protect the Speakership if it was challenged?

Where was this anger when J6 defendants were and are still being railroaded by Biden’s weaponized DOJ?  Did McHenry ever speak out forcefully about this maladministration of justice?

Gaetz vs Bartiromo

Comments Off on Gaetz vs Bartiromo

I have a friend who has been extolling the virtues of Matt Gaetz, a House congressman from Florida.  On Sunday, I had a chance to witness Matt in action as he battled Maria Bartiromo over the spending crisis in Washington.  Before I delve into that let’s be reminded that, as the government funding crisis comes to a head, the media will paint any Republican who is opposed to unlimited spending as an extremist who is trying to destroy the country.  Such a person will be depicted as attempting to undermine the foundations of democracy and would be literally trying to kill people by standing up for a budget.

Gag Orders

      Comments Off on Gag Orders

Gag orders issued in criminal cases and less often in civil cases, are supposedly done to control publicity and protect the right to a fair trial.  Such orders are supposed to balance the right to a fair trial with the First Amendment free speech rights of the people being silenced.

Because courts have almost always overturned trial judges’ attempts to restrict the news media’s right to report on cases, gag orders typically apply to participants in a case.  This is especially true today with the widespread use of social media.  Citizen journalists abound and would be far more difficult to control.

Special Prosecutor Jack Smith did the expected.  We all knew this was coming.  On Friday last week, U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan unsealed previously hidden court filings revealing the DOJ’s request to silence Donald Trump via a judicial gag order [Read PDF Here].

Odds & Ends

Comments Off on Odds & Ends

A home run.  I have to hand to the Biden administration. Never before in American history has every single appointment been someone that is both incompetent and with a passion to tear down and destroy the country.

The political class has lately produced an impressive string of debacles: the Afghanistan pullout, urban crime waves, easily foreseen inflation, mayhem at the southern border, a self-generated energy crisis, a pandemic response that wrought little good and vast ruin.

Then there are the perennial national embarrassments: a mind-bogglingly expensive welfare state that doesn’t work, public schools that make kids dumber, universities that nurture destructive grievances and noxious ideologies, and a news media nobody trusts.

Need I go on?

Pretending

      Comments Off on Pretending

If one lives in a leftist bubble, one has to do a lot of pretending not to know things.  This was evident again Sunday on The Powerhouse Roundtable hosted by George Stephanopoulos.  The panel was amazed that polling is showing PDJT widening his lead over his primary opponents.  In addition, he is now polling ahead of Joe Biden with a diverse group of Americans.

The FBI Fudges

Comments Off on The FBI Fudges

The FBI is burying crime data.  The nation’s murder rate has exploded over the last two years.  However, one would never know it from looking at FBI crime data.  NewsNation got suckered into putting out a report that showed a large decline in murders during 2021.  Apparently using the FBI data they were off by 40%.

More Questions

      Comments Off on More Questions

I have more questions that need an open and honest discussion.

When did it become optional not to pay back money that was borrowed?  What act of Congress allows the Executive branch to buy votes by pretending that such a law exists?  What act of Congress suspended contract law?  How is “forgiving” $400 billion in student loans not inflationary?
