On July 9, 2018, President Donald J. Trump nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh to a seat on the United States Supreme Court. President Trump said, “There is no one in America more qualified for this position, and no one more deserving,”
“The Rule of Law is our nation’s proud heritage. It is the cornerstone of our freedom. It is what guarantees equal justice,” the President added.
It is clear from Democratic activities during the 89 days before the vote that Democrats harbor no such beliefs. In particular, as we saw time and again during the final few weeks before the vote, they tried to advance the idea that an accusation without any corroborating evidence must be believed.
The Democrats did this with malice aforethought. They dragged the Judge’s good name through the mud. They dragged the Judge’s family through the mud. The strategy was obvious.
As noted elsewhere:
The Democrats not only knew they would grievously abuse and shower the wife and young daughters with malice, viciousness and trauma — they intended to do so.
This had to be first and foremost an attack upon two children. Injure the children, injure the wife. Injure the wife, destroy the marriage.
Inflict as much cruelty upon the family as possible. Destroy the hope, promise and joy of their life and identity as family.
Is this what Democrats have done to try to destroy the Kavanaugh nomination? It certainly appears so.
As reported by Dee Chadwell over at American Thinker, the Democrats were just following their 6th Commandment:
Fortunately for the country, the Judge did not back down. In fact, contrary to what most Republicans would do when faced with such pressures, he came out swinging. He spoke the unvarnished truth. In an emotional speech he exposed for the whole country to see the evil that sat on the right-hand side of the hearing room. He called what the Democrats had done exactly what it is, a national disgrace.
Except for one Democrat, there did not appear to be any others with the moral courage to acknowledge that this was a “…calculated and orchestrated political hit fueled with apparent pent-up anger about President Trump and the 2016 election.” The depths of depravity displayed are unfathomable.
Judge Kavanaugh, Senator Graham and PDJT have ripped the veneer of respectability off the modern Democratic Party for all to see. On November 6th a message needs to be sent that such tactics as were displayed in this confirmation hearing have no place in American politics.
