The success of the left’s brainwashing machine was on display Friday. Tens of thousands of students around the world walked out of classes to protest climate change. They joined AOC in this country in predicting a future not worth living unless dramatic action is taken by governments world-wide to combat global warming. Of course, they call it climate change since the left cannot make up its mind whether man is cooling (1970’s) or warming (1990’s mantra) the globe.

Are the Democrats backing away from the “I” word? House Speaker Pelosi, who spent a lot of time planning the impeachment process since winning control of the House in November in the hopes of improving the Democrats’ chances in the 2020 presidential election, made an announcement on Monday.

[Nancy Pelosi] “I’m not for impeachment. This is news. I’m going to give you some news right now because I haven’t said this to any press person before. But since you asked, and I’ve been thinking about this: Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country. Data show that, as a result, New York City experienced its sharpest decline in restaurant jobs in nearly 20 years. Never before, outside of a recession, have job losses been like this.

This is the Orwellian title of legislation (HR 1) proposed by Democrats in the House. It certainly does not reflect the intent of the legislation. HR 1 is “for the people” like Obamacare was “affordable.” The more accurate title is “For The Democratic Politicians.”

The first bill put forward by the majority party in a new session of Congress usually lays out that party’s agenda for the next two years. If that is the case, it seems that Speaker Pelosi and her fellow Democrats are prepared to trample all over the God-given rights of Americans. The left-leaning ACLU, who normally rubberstamp most Democratic legislation, found this particular piece of legislation a few steps too far even for them.

The Democrats led by Sen. Chuck Schumer and Speaker Nancy Pelosi have been adamant that there is no problem worth their time at our southern border with Mexico. They have flat out refused to acknowledge a problem exists despite statistics that show an increasing flood of illegals being apprehended.

There are more and more stories appearing in the media about the other criminal activities of those who try to cross the border illegally. Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said Wednesday that young female migrants traveling north to the United States are raped with such regularity that Immigration and Customs Enforcement gives every girl age 10 and over a pregnancy test after arriving. Human trafficking arrests have tripled in the last two years.

The Democrats won’t consider allowing the top people in ICE to testify as to what a wall might do or what other measures might be appropriate. They won’t allocate money to stop this flood. In fact, they want to limit ICE’s ability to protect us from the criminal elements in this flood of illegal aliens.
