Winners and Losers

The media likes to list winners and losers from every confrontation between the two main-stream political parties.  The media’s views of these events often lean towards their own particular political ideologies.

Without a doubt the Republicans were the winners and the Democrats were the losers from the Mueller hearings on Wednesday.  Even far left media outlets like CNN agreed.  Chris Cillizza at CNN noted,

If Democrats hoped that Mueller would easily bat away Republican attacks — on him and on his report — they were sorely disappointed in the opening moments of his testimony. Mueller seemingly contradicted himself (and the report) when he told Georgia Rep. Doug Collins, the ranking Republican member on the committee, that collusion and conspiracy were not the same thing.

It did not get any better as the day wore on.  It became obvious to all but the most addled of observers that Mueller was just a figurehead.  He seemed unaware of conclusions in the report that had his name on it.  The coup plotters needed a face who would stamp credibility on their phony investigation.  And that’s what they got, a face, nothing more.

The “Communist Four” (Omar, Tlaib, AOC and Pressley) believe the Democrats need new leadership.  On this I happen to agree with them although obviously for different reasons.  One has to wonder about the Democratic leadership. Just how impaired has their judgment become?  They apparently thought that this was a good idea, that is, to have Mueller appear before Congress.  Their TDS due to their overwhelming hatred for PDJT must be at least Stage 4.

This leads to a different question on winners and losers.  On Wednesday who was the winner of this skirmish, freedom or totalitarianism?

Which agenda got advanced?  Was it the one where people are told how and what to think?  Was it the one where the word Christian is not acceptable in an ad?  Was it the one that tells people that they have no right to privacy unless they belong to a favored group?  Was it the one that says you are guilty if the appropriate favored group makes an accusation against you?  Was it the one that wants to wipe out all history that does not support their worldview?

Since 9/11 there has been a steady erosion of freedom.  The heavy hand of totalitarianism has been creeping in everywhere.  Conservatives believe in values like individual accountability, freedom of religion and freedom of speech.  Because of this they are targets of physical violence by the foot soldiers of totalitarianism, like Antifa and BLM.  Wearing a red hat letting people know what and who you believe in can get you beat up.  Clearly these people are trying to do away with free speech just as Nancy Pelosi’s H.R. 1 bill would do.

Wednesday was a small victory for freedom.  Lawmakers like Doug Collins, Jim Jordan, Mike Turner and John Ratcliffe stood up for American values.  They called out the malfeasance that was evident.  They expressed righteous anger over what was being done. More of this is needed.  As PDJT has said, this can never happen again to another President.  If we, as a country, move to indict those responsible, then freedom will be winning. If, however, this is all swept under the rug, then the iron fist of totalitarianism will eventually take over our country.

When the American people turned the gavel over to Jerry Nadler of the House Judiciary Committee is this what they voted for?  The Democrats campaigned on the fact that they intended to govern. Democratic candidates were given marching orders to stay away from the “I” word.

Did the American people vote for years of investigating this President? Did they vote for a never-ending stream of nonsense activity that is designed to cover up the attempted coup?  Or would they prefer that Jerry Nadler work on justice reform and a decriminalization of our culture?  It certainly seems that the last two activities would advance the cause of freedom. The President, with all that he has on his plate, has done more on justice reform than Nadler.  Why is this?

The President has worked extremely hard for everyone in the country. The President doesn’t care if you are male or female.  He doesn’t care if you are young or old.  He doesn’t care if you are black, white, brown, yellow, pink or green.  He works for everybody.  The Democrats should follow his example.
