Defending The Indefensible

Last week, Education Secretary Miguel Cardona defended the newly instituted Team Biden policy which allows biological males to the use women’s bathrooms and locker rooms.  This policy is scheduled to go into effect on August 1st.

The Title IX change redefines the word “sex” to include gender identity.  Of course, this redefinition did not go through Congress.  This was done by the Biden administration outside any legislative protocol.  The reason?  The administration knows that they could not get any such insane legislation passed by Congress.

What member of Congress would want to vote for such a change when they know that doing so would put women and girls in danger from sexual predators and deviants?   Of course, I am probably giving the Democrats too much credit.  They simply care about only those things that keep them in power.

Cardona ignored questions regarding the safety of women and girls.  Why?  Because Cardone knows that this change will put women and girls at risk.  When Mississippi Republican Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith asked, “But biological males going into a girls’ locker room and a girls’ bathroom, you have no problem with that whatsoever and you consider them being safe in all circumstances?”  Cardone claimed that Hyde-Smith was trying to “create division.”

So, according to the Biden administration, bringing up factual concerns about the safety of the proposed change is “creating division.”  That is, Cardone knows he cannot defend the change when facts are presented, so he has to try to deflect attention from the insanity he is trying to defend.

Another horrifying video has emerged showing a large transgender (biological male) student attacking a smaller and weaker girl in a New York high school women’s restroom.  These are the kinds of attacks that Cardone is trying to ignore.

YouTube has removed the video from its sight since I started to write about it.

The proposed change will, among other things:

  • Prohibit discrimination “on the basis of sex” but the proposed rule extends that protection to gender identity and sexual orientation, essentially legislating through regulation.

So, will a convicted pedophile be okay to work in the schools?  After all, pedophilia is a sexual orientation.

  • Require K-12 schools to ignore a student’s biological sex and to accept a child’s choice of gender identity without the approval of the child’s parents.

This requirement means that schools must not only ignore the mental illness that is being manifested by the student but must protect the student from being treated for such illness.

  • Define sexual harassment so broadly that schools will be forced to discipline teachers, staff, and students for using the wrong pronouns.

This is all about giving the government more control over the schools.

  • Jeopardize all federal funds a school or district receives for not complying with Title IX regulations.

Funding of the schools by the federal government needs to end.  Education funds need to follow the student.  That is, whatever such funds are provided need to be sent to the school of choice for such students.

The states are fighting back.  Oklahoma ‘s State Superintendent of Public Instruction Ryan Walters:

“President Biden deciding to rewrite Title IX is one of the most radical and illegal moves we’ve ever seen from the federal government. It’s an attack on our states. It’s an attack on our families. And it’s an attack on our young women and girls. We will not stand for this in Oklahoma.”

Florida’s governor Ron DeSantis:

“Florida rejects Joe Biden’s attempt to rewrite Title IX.  We will not comply, and we will fight back.”

“We are not going to let Joe Biden try to inject men into women’s activities.”

“We are not going to let Joe Biden undermine the rights of parents. And we are not going to let Joe Biden abuse his Constitutional authority to try to impose these policies on us here in Florida. We stand with opportunities; we are not going to let Biden get away with it.”

This change is a smoke screen.  It is designed to distract the public from the absolute mess that this administration has made of this country.  No administration in the history of the country has done as much to damage the great country that we live in.  This needs to end on November 5th.
