Over the last several years a new psychiatric term has made its way into the lexicon. It is Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). While it is not yet in the library of approved mental illnesses, it was on display in full view of the nation on Tuesday night.
At the end of the President’s State of the Union address, Speaker Nancy Pelosi had a complete and unadulterated meltdown that resulted in her ripping up a copy of the transcript (destined for the National Archives) in full view of the country.
Pelosi seemed oblivious. It almost seemed as if Pelosi had lost all touch with reality, that she didn’t know where she was, that she thought she was in her office instead being in the Speaker’s chair in the House. When queried by reporters later about her actions, Pelosi made this bizarre statement.
“Because it was the courteous thing to do considering the alternatives.”
After this response, you have to wonder how much meds she is on to keep her from attacking others physically. Was the Secret Service the only thing keeping her from something far worse?
It was a particularly bad week for Democratic insanity.
Adam Schiff claimed Trump might sell Alaska to the Russians.
The Iowa debacle showed that Democrats find that addition is hard.
Democrats in the House refused to clap for:
- Record low unemployment, especially for minorities – Must want high unemployment – Oh, that’s right, they are rooting for a recession.
- Record rising wages for blue-collar jobs – Can’t have that – Why? It removes dependence on the government
- A secure Southern border – Can’t have that – The Democrats need the votes of illegal aliens
- Shrinking food stamp and welfare rolls – Can’t have that – Removes government dependence.
- Criminal justice reform – Something the Democrats talk about and then blame the Republicans when they do nothing.
- Energy independence – The Dems want America dependent on Islamic countries.
- Beneficial new trade deals – Why opposed? Removes a source of revenue for the Democrats.
By ripping up the speech in full view of the country, Pelosi, as leader of the party, has convicted the Democrats, beyond a reasonable doubt, of being anti-American, anti-freedom and anti-liberty. They are like spoiled children throwing temper tantrums. They want Americans to kowtow to them.
This is the modern Democratic Party.
