Emoluments Case Dismissed

A far-left lawfare group had a big loss Monday as the Supreme Court dismissed their ridiculous lawsuit against President Trump and the Trump International Hotel.  The case revolved around the Emoluments clause of the Constitution.  The group is known as “Citizens for Responsible Ethics in Washington” (CREW).  What a ridiculous misnomer if there ever was one.  This is another example of the left dreaming up a name that completely hides the real purpose of the group, that is, to attack conservative lawmakers.

One spokesperson involved in supporting the case noted,

“We are proud that because of our case, a court ruled on the meaning of ‘emoluments’ for the first time in American history, finding that the Constitution prohibits federal officials from accepting almost anything of value from foreign or domestic governments.”

Hmm…While the Supreme Court did not say this (a circuit court did), does this open the door for a case against China Joe and his family for all the “emoluments” he and his family received while in office?  What about Obama?  How about the Clintons?  Does this also open the door for cases against many congress critters and Senators?  Is this the real reason the Supreme Court did not want to touch the case?
