NY’s Governor Cuomo continues to be a huge source of embarrassment for Democrats. His handling of the COVID-19 pandemic in New York led to the unnecessary deaths of thousands of elderly residents when he ordered COVID patients into nursing homes and other long-term care facilities. His overly harsh lockdown restrictions have led to the loss of tens of thousands of businesses and to the loss of the jobs that those businesses supported.
Of all the governors in the United States only Governor Newsom of California even begins to approach the level of ineptitude of Governor Cuomo. Cuomo’s micro-managing of Health Department activities and the downright ignoring of sound health practices have led to the departure of numerous officials the NYTimes reports. Cuomo was quoted last Friday: “When I say ‘experts’ in air quotes, it sounds like I’m saying I don’t really trust the experts because I don’t.”
The media saw Cuomo’s actions differently. They fawned over him while NY became the center of infection for the Wuhan virus. He was a rising media star with his daily news conferences on the virus. However, recent revelations of a vast undercount of the deaths of people who were living in nursing homes and other extended care facilities have tarnished Cuomo’s image.
The undercount has been so bad that CNN’s Chris Cillizza had a headline that said,
Andrew Cuomo’s Covid-19 performance may have been less stellar than it seemed
“Less stellar than it seemed.” That’s a horrible joke. And this is coming from CNN! And Chris Cillizza suggested that a serious re-examination of Cuomo’s performance was in order.
This led one wag on Twitter to post the following:

And it went on and on. The problem? These were the exact words that Maxine Waters used several years ago about the Trump administration.
These Democratic politicians were suckered. Not one of them came out and condemned Maxine Waters for her comments. Now, since the words are directed at a Democratic politician, they are outraged.
The level of hypocrisy here is staggering. How foolish do these politicians appear, condemning the very words that one of their “leaders” used?
It shows again there are different rules depending on which party you support. Can someone post a picture of theirselves holding a Biden severed head so we can see how they would react? 😂
