The Rise of Naziism

Several times over the past year I have mentioned the striking parallels between the activities of the Democratic Party since Obama was elected and the rise of the Nazis in Germany during the 1920’s and 1930’s.  These parallels are being noticed by more people.  Steve McCann has produced two excellent columns over at American Thinker on this subject.  I will be borrowing from his efforts here.

There is little doubt about the Nazi tactics being used by the left to fundamentally transform America from a constitutional republic into a socialist/communist state with one-party, totalitarian rule.  The Democrats continue to try to exploit fears of “systemic racism” and “white supremacy” to advance their agenda of controlling the public just as the Nazis did almost a century ago.  Witness the barbed wire enclosure of the Capitol in the face of a supposed imminent threat to the constitutional order of the country.  Witness the charges of “insurrection” against people who peacefully protested the stealing of the 2020 election.

Drawing parallels between the Nazis and the Democrats does not sit well with those who get all their news from CNN or MSNBC or some other lapdog equivalent.  They claim that only people on the right can be compared to Nazis.  This is like saying that only white people can be racists.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  Racism exists to a greater or lesser degree within the ranks of people of all heritages and ethnicities.

McCann notes six different ways that Democratic Party policy and actions mirror those of the Nazis long ago.

First, racial division was a central component of Nazi political strategy and philosophy.  The Nazi Party was, without doubt, the most racially obsessed political party in human history.  Today’s Democrat party is second only to the Nazi Party in their racial obsession.   Every piece of legislation, every accusation against their opponents, every aspect of American society, even weather and climate is framed in racism.

The Nazi Party’s obsession with race focused on their perverted belief in the inferiority and superiority of the races. This opened the door for blaming various racial groups for all the problems facing the country.   The American left are claiming the root cause of virtually all problems facing the nation is “systemic racism” as theoretically instigated by one particular race.

The fact that the Democratic Party is the most racist political party in American history is obvious to anyone who has not been brainwashed.  From our beginnings as a country, just as with the Nazis in Germany, the Democrats have viewed blacks as inferior, worthy only of being slaves.  After the Civil War the Democrats took every opportunity to subjugate blacks.  The Ku Klux Klan was a Democratic institution.  Democratic Senators proudly proclaimed their membership in the Klan.  One Senator, Byrd of West Virginia, was even the Exalted Cyclops of the Klan at one point.

Jim Crow laws were a featured accomplishment of Democratic politics in many states for many decades.  A significantly higher percentage of Republicans supported the Civil Rights Act of 1964 in both the House and the Senate.  In fact, the infamous 74-day filibuster against the Civil Rights Act was led by Southern Democrats, who overwhelming voted against the legislation.

The Democrats have continued this assault on blacks to this very day.  Anytime the subject of Voter ID’s comes up, they claim this will result in voter suppression.  Apparently, according to the Democrats, blacks are not capable of getting and keeping an ID.  Therefore, blacks do not have driver’s licenses, cannot buy alcohol or board planes or do anything requiring an ID (sarc).

Second, the Nazi Party was fixated on censorship and eliminating any cultural institution, publication or speech that did not fully support them.  In other words, their version of today’s “cancel culture.”   The Nazis were notorious for book-burning rituals in order to intimidate and send the message that they would shut down anyone and anything that did not align with their ideology.

Once in control of the national levers of powers, they did so with impunity.   The American left is figuratively burning books as it uses social media mobs as the vehicle to send the message that they will shut down anyone or anything that does not align with their ideology.

Today’s “cancel culture” infection has reached epidemic levels.  If you do not exhibit “correct think,” you are a potential target for the social media mobs.  These mobs have been convinced that is not only okay but virtuous to go after people who think differently from them.  By any means necessary is their mantra.

Fully 87% of Americans see “cancel culture” as a problem threatening their freedoms.  Tristan Justice over at the Federalist notes:

The survey also revealed a majority of Americans are afraid to share their views online out of concern over retribution from their employers or Big Tech oligarchs who dictate speech in the 21st century digital public square.

One glaring example that comes to mind is the effort to “expel” an incoming freshman to Marquette University in 2020 because she created a video that showed her support for PDJT.  When two students found the video, they tried to have her admission cancelled.  They organized a campaign to foster hate which led to death threats against her because she supported PDJT.  This is the Left’s idea of being inclusive.

Third, the Nazis perfected the art of indoctrinating the citizenry through propaganda and “fake news.”  Joseph Goebbels, Nazi minister of propaganda, is credited with saying: “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.” and “Think of the press as a great keyboard on which government can play.”

This strategy has been and continues to be used to great success by the American left and their fellow travelers in the mainstream (Democrat) media.

Most of us are aware of the “success” of this strategy when we look at items like the Russian collusion hoax, the Ukraine impeachment hoax and other more recent items like the January 6th “insurrection” hoax and the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Super Spreader hoax.  But the Left has been utilizing this approach for a long time.  The global warming hoax which morphed into the climate change hoax when the planet stopped warming is one such older example.

Perhaps an even more stunning example is the coverup of the shooting down of flight TWA 800 on July 17, 1996.  Despite more than 700 eyewitnesses who saw a rocket rise from the ocean and intersect with the airliner, the media successfully buried the story.  Jack Cashill has written two excellent books on this subject.  They can be found here and here.

What brought down the airliner?  Was it terrorism or a friendly fire accident?  Publicly no one knows.  The coverup was done to allow the Presidential election of that year go forward without President Clinton having to deal with that issue.  To this day, much of the public remains unaware of the lie that was perpetrated.  This is a great example of a Big Lie told over and over.

A new example is the effort by the NYTimes to smear Matt Gaetz, a Republican congressman from Florida.  This effort serves two purposes.  First, they are trying to neutralize someone who is an effective counter to the plans of the Democrats for totalitarian power.  The charges of sex trafficking are particularly horrendous to most people.  Tainting Gaetz this way with spurious charges is an attempt to weaken him when he fights against the takeover of American government by the communists.  This is not the first time the Democrats have done this.  This was done to Devin Nunes of California when he uncovered the Russian collusion hoax and the attempts by the Obama administration to weaponize governmental agencies against the Trump campaign.

Second, it is being used to discredit the State of Florida where Gaetz is a congressman.  Florida through its governor has essentially thumbed its nose at the federal government and their insane COVID restrictions.  The state has proved that the restrictions are nonsense.  The Democrats cannot abide a state that will not bow down in supplication before them.  It undermines their control over the public.

Fourth, the Nazis, true to socialist ideology, preyed on class envy to stoke tensions and resentment as they blamed the “Junker Class” (the equivalent of today’s “one percent”) for the nation’s economic woes.   The American left and the Democrat party hierarchy, true to socialist ideology, has long blamed the evil one percent or greedy billionaires for income and economic inequality in order to foment class envy and resentment.

But the similarity does not end there.  In an extraordinary juxtaposition the Nazis were able to vilify the wealthy and the industrialists while the subjects of their vitriol voluntarily financed the Nazi Party and its political campaigns.  Hitler assured the German corporate titans that, despite their rhetoric, the Nazis would leave them alone and award them lucrative contracts if they supported the Party through massive financial support and favorable newspaper coverage.  Greed overcame good sense, and they did so.   These gullible cowards were ultimately responsible for unleashing the Nazis on an unsuspecting planet.

Can there be any doubt about this in our current times?  Politicians like Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders constantly harangue about income inequality and various other inequities.  Corporations and others funnel their money to Democratic candidates through organizations like BLM to get around campaign finance legal limitations.

Individuals like Mark Zuckerberg and George Soros grant money through foundations to fund the counting of votes and the conducting of elections.  During the last election cycle, a significant portion of those monies went to Democratic-controlled cities and counties.  How much was used to commit fraud?

Fifth, in the 1920’s and early 30’s the Nazi Party routinely relied on street riots, property damage and gratuitous violence utilizing their militant cadre, the Sturmabteilung (SA), to project power through intimidation while blaming the communists for the violence.  Every time a riot was met with little or no response from the established authorities, the more emboldened they became.  While the Nazis ostensibly came to power through the ballot box, their ability to terrorize the citizenry and national political leadership played a major role as they promised peace on the streets if elected or given leadership positions in government.

This is perhaps one of the most striking parallels.  When George Floyd died of a drug overdose, the Democrats unleashed Antifa and BLM on America.  Within Democratic-controlled cities there was little pushback.  There were few attempts to maintain law and order.  In Portland, Oregon, rioters moved from mostly peaceful to constant violence over a period of 30 days in June.  Many cities were turned into war zones.  The violence continued into the fall.  The Democrats intimated that the violence would continue unless they were returned to power in Washington.

All of this was done under the cover fighting supposed police brutality and white supremacy.  No large bureaucratic organization is perfect.  While there are police officers who should not be one, the vast majority are upstanding people who serve their community well.  And the existential threat of white supremacy overthrowing our constitutional order does not exist.  Organizations like the KKK receive larger than life coverage by a media hoping to advance another false narrative.  These are just bogeymen used to sow fear and to undermine feelings of normalcy in America.

Sixth, in January 1933, Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany.  Within four weeks a mysterious fire broke out in the Reichstag (Congress) Building which they blamed on communist agitators and that this was the opening salvo in a violent coup.  Using this pretext, the Nazis were able to force through the Reichstag The Enabling Act of 1933 in March of the same year.   This law embedded the Nazis as the sole dominant political party and ensured that only the Nazis could win future elections, if any were held.  They were the first modern proponents of never letting a crisis, real or manufactured, to go to waste.

The left and the Democrat party seized upon the disturbances at the Capitol on January 6, 2021 to proclaim that it was an “armed insurrection” and the opening salvo in a violent coup attempt by white supremacists.  To further reinforce this false narrative, they theatrically brought in 20,000 National Guard troops and built fortifications around the Capitol building.  Further following in the footsteps of the Nazi Party, the Democrats almost immediately pushed to pass H.R. 1 (euphemistically entitled The For The People Act) which would overturn virtually all existing voter laws, embed the Democrats as the sole dominant political party and ensure that only the Democrats could win future elections.

Armed insurrection?  If this was an armed insurrection, where were the weapons?  I was there.  I never saw any weapons at any time.  The only guns in evidence were those carried by law enforcement.  The only weapons discharged were by law enforcement.  This resulted in the death of an unarmed Air Force veteran, Ashli Babbitt.  This was an unjustified use of deadly force.  Babbitt did not pose a danger to anyone when she was killed.  If this was supposed to be an insurrection, why didn’t her death result in violence and mayhem like the George Floyd death did?

One law enforcement officer died after returning to his precinct, apparently of a stroke.  Three other individuals suffered medical emergencies and perished.  These have been used to characterize the January 6th events as deadly.  This has been trumpeted over and over by the media.

How is any of this an “armed insurrection?”  This is just another example of the Big Lie.  The Democrats are keeping troops and razor wire in Washington in an attempt to support this hoax and to pollute the jury pool on any serious charges brought against individuals present in Washington on January 6th.

To summarize all of this, I will end with McCann’s last two paragraphs from his March 29th article and a paragraph from his other article on this subject.

This list of parallels between the Nazi Party and the American left cannot be ignored.  These wannabe autocrats, in a de facto admission, try to obfuscate their adoption of Nazi tactics by shamelessly claiming that it is the American right or conservatives that have embraced the Nazis.  Yet the right has not utilized or espoused any Nazi tactics in their quest for political office.

While it goes without saying that I am not insinuating that the American left and the Democrat Party has the objective of imposing worldwide dominance via a horrific world war or emulating the horrors of the Holocaust, it must be acknowledged that there are important commonalities.  The manner in which a small fringe far-left socialist party was able to rise to power and how the left in America is emulating it should frighten all Americans.

The time has come for Americans of all races to snap out of their complacency and stop being played for fools and understand that the American left and the Democrat party have but one goal: to assume in perpetuity the reins of power and transform the nation into a one-party hybrid socialist state.  They do not care if someone is African American, Hispanic, Asian, or White as long as they can manipulate these groups by pitting one against the other.  They are ruthless in their tactics and determined to prevail.

This is a war the American people must win.

Amen!
