Odds & Ends

Bob Livingston reports that the Libertarian Institute brings us this bit of disturbing information: There are now more bureaucratic (non-military) government agents armed with weapons than U.S. Marines.

“According to the Wall Street Journal, the number of federal agents armed with guns, ammunition and military-style equipment has nearly tripled over the past several decades. As Adam Andrzejewski writes for Forbes, ‘the Federal government has become one never-ending gun show.’”

“Add in the Biden Administration’s plans to swell the ranks of the IRS by 87,000 new employees (some of whom will have arrest-and-firearm authority) and you’ve got a nation in the throes
of Martial Law.

“The militarization of America’s bureaucratic forces in recent decades has merely sped up the timeline by which the nation is transformed into an authoritarian regime.”

PJ Media reported, “Incoming House Speaker Kevin McCarthy repeatedly promised over the past couple of years that, when the GOP regains control of the House, he would remove Reps. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.), and Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) from their respective committees.”

Actually, I think McCarthy should find as many do-nothing committees as possible and put them on those committees as the lowest ranking member.  Pile up the work.  Let them earn their stipend from the government.  Just make sure the TV cameras are far away.

As many have opined, why stop with those corrupt individuals?  Pelosi, Clyburn and Hoyer broke protocol by banning Marjorie Taylor Greene.  Let’s keep them off of any committee.

Pelosi’s J6 Select Committee had no approved Republican reps.  The Democratic leadership was behind that farce.  Let them stew in their own juices.

George Orwell’s 1984 continues unabated in some sections of the country.  The Minneapolis City Council adopted an ordinance Thursday that will prohibit pro-life sidewalk counselors from being on sections of public sidewalks.

This is the same city council that voted to defund its police after the riots over George Floyd’s death due to a drug overdose.

Riots, looting, burning and other assorted mayhem are peaceful protests.

Praying in public is now prohibited.

Bill Gates’ foundation has increased its investment in digital ID projects and $200 million will go to “support data sharing systems” (read: spying on you) and interoperable payments systems (read: tracking what you buy).

Michael Rectenwald, author of Google Archipelago: The Digital Gulag and the Simulation of Freedom, said that “Of all the other means of identifying and tracking subjects, digital identity
poses perhaps the gravest technological threat to individual liberty yet conceived. It has the potential to trace, track and surveil subjects and to compile a complete record of all activity, from cradle to grave.”

He says that it’s a step toward global behavioral controls: “Integrated with a kind of social credit scoring system like the one supposed to be in place in China, as well as a vaccine passport, the digital identity could serve as a definitive means for political profiling, for perfecting the means of political cancellation already a part of Western life.”

Bill Gates needs to be defunded.
