On Monday, NYC Mayor Eric Adams warned Trump supporters not to act like BLM groups. Unlike the BLM and Antifa groups that torched sections of the city, that rioted and destroyed businesses with impunity, Trump supporters will be arrested if they set one toe out of line.
Mayor Adams states that there will be arrests for anyone committing violent behavior. When did the city’s policy on “mostly peaceful protests” change?
Adams refers to NYC as the safest city in America. That was once true during the Giuliani administration. That’s not true today as multiple police officers from NYC have told me. One glance at the current crime stats shows that Adams is just another Communist Democrat spinning a fairy tale out of whole cloth.
Since Antifa and BLM are shielded groups in NYC, did Adams just give them the dog whistle that it is okay to attack any Trump supporters who happen to show up? With this speech, Adams has clearly defined that there are two systems of justice in NYC. One is for those on the left who will be protected from the consequences of their actions. We saw this over and over abain with BLM and Antifa.
The second group are Americans who believe in the founding values of our forefathers who will be jailed without bail and without trial if they express anything that goes against the Mayor’s narrative.
I think that the mayor’s message needs to be parsed. One should always read between the lines. What Adams was really saying is, “if any Trump supporter is caught near any act of violence we instigate, they will be arrested and held accountable.” This is consistent with how the J6 “insurrection” has been handled.
