Just In Time

China has notified the WHO of clusters of pneumonia cases in children.  However, at this point in time, China is not reporting any unusual or novel pathogens in these outbreaks.  Beijing attributes the rise in “flu-like” illnesses to ending of COVID lockdowns and mandates.

Since October, northern China has reported an “increase in influenza-like illness” compared to the same period over the past three years, the WHO said.

“Some of these increases are earlier in the season than historically experienced, but not unexpected given the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions, as similarly experienced in other countries.”

Keep in mind that China continued COVID restrictions long after other countries had abandoned those useless mandates.

It is not unusual for the WHO to monitor clusters of illnesses around the world.  After all, this is supposed to be part of their function.  Over-paid bureaucrats can then decide that more information is needed about specific illness clusters.

What is unusual about this situation is that the WHO usually requests such info privately dealing directly with health officials in the country in question.  In this case the request was made public.  Why?

Speculation centers on the recent “pandemic.”  People are jumpy about illnesses arising in China.   During the COVID era, it often appeared that China withheld important information from the world.

Are there other forces at work here?  Is the public being prepped for more “You cannot vote in person because to do so would be too dangerous?”  Just saying.
