Tick Tock

On Thursday, Rep. Devin Nunes, R-CA, notified the Justice Department of criminal referrals, targeting individuals tied to the origins of the Trump-Russia investigation.  As indicated previously, the origins of the investigation are where sunlight is needed.  This avoids the corrupt officials being able to say that they were “just doing their job to protect the country.”

In a brief letter, Nunes informs Attorney General William Barr he and Rep. John Ratcliffe, R-TX, want to schedule a meeting to discuss eight criminal referrals, which are ready for consideration, as part of the House Intelligence Committee’s lengthy examination of alleged misconduct during the Russia collusion probe.

AG Barr announced on Wednesday morning to a Senate panel that he thinks “spying did occur” by the government on President Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

“For the same reason we’re worried about foreign influence in elections…I think spying on a political campaign — it’s a big deal, it’s a big deal.”

Gun Control Candidacy

California Rep. Eric “Gun Control” Swalwell, an Iowa native and former prosecutor, announced his bid for the Presidency in the crowded Democratic field on Monday. He is an unapologetic supporter of banning firearms. He proposes a ban on and confiscation of weapons from citizens across the U.S. The 38-year-old congressman would exempt law enforcement agencies.

Hate Speech

      Comments Off on Hate Speech

The Democrats would love to pass some legislation prohibiting “hate speech” particularly in connection with political campaigns.  Of course, this is predicated on them being the ones who determined just what “hate speech” is.  That would be speech they don’t like.

With the Mueller Report exonerating PDJT of collusion the fake news networks are still looking for something to delegitimize PDJT’s victory in 2016.  Christiane Amanpour over at CNN appeared to advance another reason this week.  That would be the failure of the government to suppress “hate speech.”

Sunlight Coming To The Comey Memos

Comments Off on Sunlight Coming To The Comey Memos

An interesting story was reported on a number of news sites last week.  A federal judge, Judge James E. Boasberg, ordered the FBI to produce all documents relating to the infamous Comey memos.  This is to be done by today April 1st.

Earlier this year the same judge had rejected a lawsuit that asked memos by former FBI Director James Comey be made public.  The Department of Justice had argued that releasing the memos “might prematurely reveal . . . the nature, scope, direction and focus of its investigations” involving Russia’s interference in the 2016 election.

U.S. District Judge Boasberg agreed after speaking with an attorney from the Office of Special Counsel, though calling the entire situation “rather unprecedented.”   He said releasing the memos “could reasonably be expected to interfere with enforcement proceedings.”

Keep in mind that part of Comey’s memos had been leaked by Comey himself to the news media through an intermediary. In testimony to Congress he said he did so in the hopes of getting a Special Counsel investigation underway.

The Party’s Over

Now that the Mueller investigation is over, what can be expected next?  The normal process does not allow for the release of investigative material unless there is an indictment.  The privacy of innocent people who have never been charged with any crime must be protected.

The Democrats will mine whatever the DOJ releases for any crumb that they might use against the President.  If the DOJ does not release all of the report, Rep. Adam Schiff and others will claim that high crimes and misdemeanors are being covered up even though he knows better. It will be all about trying to make some political hay out of the disaster that was the Mueller investigation.

Pelosi and Schumer will demand that all investigative materials be declassified and released.  They will probably say that full transparency is needed to protect the integrity of the US intelligence community or some such crap like that.  The complete investigative file would likely be millions of pages.  There would also be wiretaps, emails, text messages, etc.

For The People, Part 2

Comments Off on For The People, Part 2

For The People.  Another Orwellian title to a piece of Congressional legislation.  HR 1, the Democrat’s landmark piece of legislation, is “for the people” like banning firearms reduces crime.  1984 is upon us.  Night is day. Day is night.  The more accurate title would be Against The People.

HR 1 is designed to trample all over the God-given rights of Americans. The left-wing ACLU found this particular piece of legislation a few steps too far even for them.

Despite the obvious unconstitutionality of the legislation, the Democrats passed it in the House.  The Democrats do not care whether it is unconstitutional or not.  To the Democrats the Constitution is merely a piece of paper that can be ignored when it suits them.

Pelosi Blinks

Are the Democrats backing away from the “I” word?  House Speaker Pelosi, who spent a lot of time planning the impeachment process since winning control of the House in November in the hopes of improving the Democrats’ chances in the 2020 presidential election, made an announcement on Monday.

[Nancy Pelosi] “I’m not for impeachment. This is news. I’m going to give you some news right now because I haven’t said this to any press person before. But since you asked, and I’ve been thinking about this: Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country. And he’s just not worth it.”

For The People, Part 1

Comments Off on For The People, Part 1

This is the Orwellian title of legislation (HR 1) proposed by Democrats in the House.  It certainly does not reflect the intent of the legislation. HR 1 is “for the people” like Obamacare was “affordable.”  The more accurate title is “For The Democratic Politicians.”

The first bill put forward by the majority party in a new session of Congress usually lays out that party’s agenda for the next two years.  If that is the case, it seems that Speaker Pelosi and her fellow Democrats are prepared to trample all over the God-given rights of Americans.  The left-leaning ACLU, who normally rubberstamp most Democratic legislation, found this particular piece of legislation a few steps too far even for them.

Star Chamber

      Comments Off on Star Chamber

Have we awakened into a world of hate and fear where the people who hate and fear do not know it themselves?  One only has to look around to see countless examples of hate and fear. They are there everyday in the media. They often try to masquerade as being virtuous thoughts and acts.

The latest example is the hearing going on in Washington, DC, by the House Oversight Committee.  The Democrats hate PDJT because, despite conspiracies within the Obama administration to swing the election to HRC in 2016, the people selected him for President. They have not gotten over this yet and will probably never get over it.

To show how desperate they are, the Dems have brought Michael Cohen, convicted liar to Congress, to testify.  Cohen is pathetic.  His acting skills do not come up to Christine Blasey Ford’s.  Just as with Ms. Ford, he will quickly be forgotten when he is no longer politically useful.
