Inflation Numbers

      Comments Off on Inflation Numbers

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released the July inflation data today [RELEASE HERE].  Overall, inflation remains low and stable with a July outcome of 0.2 percent, 2.7 percent year over year.

The prices for highly consumable goods like food at home are declining, meanwhile the prices of long-term durable goods are ticking up.  Put another way, the prices of the stuff we export are lower, the prices of the imported durable goods are a little higher.  Put them together and the aggregate inflation is stable.

Trade Deals

      Comments Off on Trade Deals

While I have been preoccupied with the seditious scandal being exposed with facts from DNI Tulsi Gabbard, the wheels of negotiation have continued to churn. The clock has been ticking down to deadlines set by PDJT.  Word has been leaking out that China and the EU are working hard to come to a deal before the deadlines expire.

On Wednesday the White House announced that Japan has come to a trade agreement with America.

Let’s be reminded that Japan essentially did not want to face a 25% tariff on automobiles exported to the USA.  At the same time, they did not want to permit full USA access to several sectors of their market.  The solution that the Commerce Department has come up with is quite remarkable.

Exfiltration of Wealth

Understanding the core, the central element of globalism, is the key to understanding the process going on where governments and corporations have merged to end capitalism as it has always been defined.  This is where the phrase “trillions at stake” takes on an understanding and context that clarifies just what the elites have been doing to the common folk for a long time.

Is War Coming?

Comments Off on Is War Coming?

One of the hallmarks of the Trump presidency was his economic approach to foreign policy.  While he believed in a strong America militarily, PDJT also believed that using common economic interests as a lever helped way more people. PDJT was helping more people out of poverty than any single person in history.  The result of his approach was no new wars during his presidency.  The contrast with his predecessor who started seven wars in eight years was striking.  A lot fewer body bags were being filled with young Americans during the Trump presidency.

Democrats Are Killing The Economy

Comments Off on Democrats Are Killing The Economy

This administration is killing jobs and exporting American jobs to other countries.  The Democrats are anti-American and are evil, racist and corrupt.  They do not care about Americans.  They only care about power and money.

Ford announced this week that it plans to move a major project from its Avon Lake plant in northeast Ohio to Mexico. Ford thus reneged a promise made during the Trump administration to invest $900 million in the new project to build an electric vehicle there.  The original agreement called for a complete revitalization of the Avon Lake facility.

Biden Vows To Crush Trump Economy

Comments Off on Biden Vows To Crush Trump Economy

“Make America Pay Again.”

It is not an official campaign slogan for the Biden campaign but it should be.  Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, recently told campaign donors that, if elected, he plans to roll back most of PDJT’s tax cuts.  Biden said,

“I’m going to get rid of the bulk of Trump’s $2 trillion tax cut.  A lot of you may not like that, but I’m going to close loopholes like capital gains and stepped-up basis.”

Trade Is Back In The News

U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer testified before the House Ways and Means committee and before the Senate Finance Committee on Wednesday.  USTR Lighthizer outlined that the administration plans to continue to demand trade reciprocity.  This is in keeping with PDJT’s long stated policy of equality in trade relations.  Some have characterized this as a zero-zero-zero goal.  That is, PDJT believes there should be zero tariffs, zero barriers and zero subsidies.

PDJT believes in the American worker.  PDJT believes that American workers can compete with workers anywhere in the world if the playing field is level.  To level the playing field has been the goal of his administration since day one

Great Numbers

      Comments Off on Great Numbers

The Bureau of Labor Statistics released the February jobs report last week that showed 273,000 jobs added in February.  This shattered the experts’ predictions that were expecting 175,000.  At the same time the BLS updated January and Decembers numbers to reflect 85,000 more jobs than previously reported.

These revisions are an interesting sidelight of the business of reporting labor numbers.  The initial numbers due reflect some incompleteness in the reporting so the updates are always instructive.  During the Obama administration there were updates on both sides of the ledger.  That is, a few months saw increases.  Most saw decreases.  During the Trump administration the updates have always shown underreporting during the initial release of the numbers.  I wonder why that is.
