Recently a young woman was arrested on the campus of UNC Chapel Hill for allegedly punching a pro-life advocate. Now there has been a second arrest after another young woman stole a pro-life sign.
And the woman was incredulous that she would be arrested for stealing a pro-life sign. She does not seem to comprehend that you can’t just take someone else’s property simply because you don’t like their worldview.
The woman stole a sign that read “warning: abortion victim photos ahead.” Two members of the group repeatedly told her she was on camera stealing the sign.
The feminist is seen grabbing an orange pro-life sign from a pro-life advocate’s hands. She ignores warnings that her actions are illegal and that she’s walking right toward a police officer.
When confronted by the officer, she states that she took it “because this restricts women’s rights.” The officer informs her that she does not “have a right to take someone’s property” even if she doesn’t agree with the group’s protected speech. “You can ignore them,” he offers, adding, “They have a right to be here.”
“This is why women have such a problem getting abortions in North Carolina and y’all just let them get away with this s***,” the woman says, nearly breaking into tears.
“I cannot believe this is happening,” she adds when she is placed under arrest.
What is really disturbing about this incident is the young woman’ disbelief that she is being arrested for taking someone else’s property. She is convinced that she had every right to do what she did. Why? Because the sign disagreed with her view of the world and the way things are supposed to be. This is what the left is teaching our young people. It is okay to commit violence, take another’s property and ruin someone else’s reputation if it is done to advance the leftist agenda.
Perhaps a few more incidents like this which get broadcasted will allow some semblance of common sense to infiltrate into the minds of young people who have been led astray by leftist progressives.
