The Biden-Harris administration (yes, it’s official now. The Democrats are beginning the transition to a Harris Presidency) is shutting down the southwest end of the National Mall around the Tidal Basin during two-week peak cherry blossom time.
Why you might ask? It is being done so that the public will not walk around in the sunshine and fresh air to view the annual spectacle. Apparently cherry blossoms are a particularly nasty spreader of the COVID-19 virus (sarc).
The Jefferson, MLK and FDR memorials will also be closed to keep the public away from the nasty cherry blossoms.
Denmark will require the use of a “corona passport” for people to travel around the country and participate in society. The passport would show whether the holder has been vaccinated, has previously been infected or has taken a test within the last 72 hours.
It has been long predicted that such a passport would be required to go out in public. It is another way that the government can control what the public is allowed to do. Tighter top-down control of the population is a never ending quest of totalitarian governments. The Democrats in America have been salivating at the possibility of doing the same thing here.
The non-crisis at our southern border has prompted Biden-Harris officials to turn the San Diego convention center into a facility for holding illegal alien children who have been apprehended crossing the border. The facility is in the heart of a once-thriving downtown area.
I am certain this will help businesses trying to recover from prolonged restrictions placed on the public in California (sarc). There is nothing quite like a surge in crime and disease to improve the prospects of any business.
When it comes to disastrous immigration policy, the Biden-Harris administration is an over-achiever.
The Biden-Harris administration’s first foray into international diplomacy with China was a disaster. The meeting in Alaska last week has been characterized as the most inept handling of international diplomacy since the Carter administration. The administration had hyped the event as the beginning of a reset in Sino-American relations.
A reset it was only not in the way envisioned. The Chinese have set the tone for a troubled future. The world is now a more dangerous place.
On Tuesday Democrats held a hearing on the election transformation bill HR1 that will ensure the party that cheats will never lose another election. Any kind of careful look at this bill results in identification of mountains of problems. That analysis is for another time.
During the hearing one of the Democratic witnesses claimed that removing dead people from the voter rolls is “voter suppression.” He actually said this. This is the kind of nonsense that emanates from people on the left who are desperate to remain in power.
