In George Orwell’s 1984 the Ministry of Truth was a government organization that was supposed to be focused on the pursuit of truth. The reality was that the Ministry of Truth was charged with erasing the truth of the past and replacing it with whatever lies the Party decides is best.
The concept of the Ministry of Truth recognizes that power is the most important commodity that the Party has access to. And the power over what people believe (which includes power over the past) is part of that equation.
Hitler recognized this. German propaganda was often centered around telling the Big Lie and repeating it over and over. Such activity allowed for the seepage of demonstrable falsehoods to take hold within the population as facts.
Britain had their own Ministry of Truth during WWII. It was called the Ministry of Information. It produced propaganda for the war effort and censored news that might be injurious to that effort.
The old USSR and China today both have had their ministries that were devoted to controlling what narratives were allowed out into the public forums.
America has had its problems with censorship particularly over the last decade. More recently the country has seen a coordination between government and Big Media that removes content that does not align with approved government narratives.
Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter threatens to open the floodgates and allow for the freer flow of information. The current government cannot allow this. To combat this, the Department of Homeland Security is establishing a Disinformation Board. Its specific function is to censor free speech. The Ministry of Truth has arrived in our government.

Previously the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) announced a new Dept of Homeland Security priority to combat disinformation {LINK} on technology platforms including social media.
Many eyebrows were raised as the announcement appeared to be an open admission that the U.S. government was going to control information by applying labels, that would align with allies in social media, who need a legal justification for censorship and content removal.
Please note that last item. This is being done to prevent lawsuits under the umbrella of freedom of speech encroachments. Big Media needed protection if they are to carry out suppression of free speech.
Of course, the hand waving to distract the public was quickly evident.
This CISA announcement was quickly followed by various government officials and agencies saying it was critical to combat Russian disinformation, as the events in Ukraine unfolded. In essence, Ukraine was the justification for search engines like Google, DuckDuckGo, and social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube to begin targeting information and content that did not align with the official U.S. government narrative.
Previously those same methods were deployed by the U.S. government, specifically the CDC and FDA, toward COVID-19 and the vaccination program. All of this background aligns with the previous visibility of a public-private partnership between the bureaucracy of government, the U.S. intelligence agencies and U.S. social media. That partnership now forms the very cornerstone of the DHS/CISA effort to control what information exists in the public space. It is highly important that people understand what is happening.
Our current government is Big Brother writ large. The groundwork for this announcement was done last week by Obama. Obama gave a speech at Stanford University where he gave lip service to the virtues of free speech and then proceeded to push for the censoring of such speech.
Obama slipped up and used the example of COVID where he insisted, “people are dying because of misinformation.” He cited the refusal of 1 in 5 Americans to avoid “safe, effective vaccines” as proof of the same. Obama apparently believes that the absolute control of information flow already exists. He must believe that few if any Americans are aware of the horrendous number of deaths in VAERS or of the excess mortality in all countries that have pushed the jab.

What we are seeing now is an extension of the government control mechanisms, combined with a severe reaction by all stakeholders to the latest development in the Twitter takeover.
For two years the control mechanisms around information have been cemented by govt and Big Tech. Even the deployment of the linguistics around disinformation, misinformation and malinformation is all part of that collective effort. The collaboration between the government and Big Tech is not a matter for debate, it is all easily referenced by their own admissions. The current issue is how they are deploying the information controls.
We have COVID-19, the vaccination effort and now Ukraine as examples of the collaboration to control information, to control what people are permitted to question and discuss on the internet. Now things are getting much more detailed, and more alarming.
This is a coordinated attempt to end free speech in this country. One observer of the human condition has noted:
Free speech was not adopted by our founders SIMPLY because of the direct overlording of information by the crown.
Speech (thinking/discussion/debate/commensurating) is a natural right. The very flaw of the human experience is overcome by the very existence that GOD has blessed humanity to behave as a social network. We talk to each other. And we seek better ideas, and even defend unpopular ideas. God gives us this ability so that we can learn…and progress….
The founders understood this natural right. That NO GOVERNMENT will have the power to direct the conversation and delimit ideas and debates and especially those critical of the state…even incendiary speech. Which is the MOST IMPORTANT. combative caustic highly critical rejection of government power IS the most important reasons why protected speech and the restrictions placed on government exist. Because central governments have a tendency throughout history to ignore the people and lord over them.
Our constitution makes it perfectly clear that POWER is derived from THE PEOPLE, through it’s natural rights given by God that it may never be infringed.
It’s the MOST IMPORTANT PROTECTED RIGHT and it’s the most powerful restriction placed on our government.
What is really going on here is an end run around the fact that legislation allowing this is stalled in the Senate. This is a provision that is buried in the Voter Rights Bill. They are now trying to use national security justifications to put in place regulations that Congress refuses to approve.
Is Musk the only thing that these people are concerned about? It seems to me that Dinesh’s 2000 Mules documentary about how the 2020 election was stolen would be a prime candidate for the censor’s black mark.

Is this where we are headed? The time to stand up is now. We need to put this in a bright, white, hot spotlight. I want to hear candidates telling me that they will bring these agencies to their knees… as their #1 objective after they are elected into office.
Let’s remember something else. It is not just the First Amendment that they are trying to end. They want to end independent thought which is the bedrock right that is the foundation of the First Amendment.
Do not cave to them.
