Insurrection

Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger  have a new example of insurrection that threatens the very foundations of American democracy.  I am certain they will be calling for a select committee to investigate this assault on our republic.

On Wednesday, three women were arrested after disrupting Supreme Court arguments while lawyers were arguing a banking case.  The women screamed at and heckled the justices over the Dobbs decision.  This is the first protest inside the Supreme Court that stopped official proceedings in seven years.

It seems to me that I have heard that said somewhere before, “interfering with an official government proceeding.”  Oh, that’s right.  That is what the J6 protestors are charged with.  Some of them are still in “pre-trial” detention.

Under the definition put forth by the Democrats, this qualifies as an insurrection.  I am sure there is still room at the DC Gulag to accommodate these threats to the very foundations of our constitutional order.

Kai Newkirk, who was not one of the protestors, indicated that he organized the protest.  As such, this indicates that a seditious conspiracy was under way.  When will an FBI SWAT team of 25-30 descend on his place of residence during the early morning hours to arrest him?

Will these protestors be put in solitary confinement for “disrupting an official government proceeding?”

Will they be refused bail?  After all, this is sedition that we are talking about.

Will they be denied a speedy trial and rot in jail for two years while the government attempts to punish them for exercising their rights to freedom of assembly and freedom of speech?

Will they be beaten by guards while the prison administration looks the other way?

Will this be treated as an armed insurrection?  (Is there any other kind?)  One protestor was waving her arms threateningly!

Reports indicated that three women were involved.  Can Ketanji Brown tell if they are women or not?
