RealAmerica.Vote ran an audit of roughly a million of the 2.2 million votes cast in NYC’s 2025 mayoral election. Marly Hornik said they asked a simple question. Did the city and state boards of elections actually verify every voter, as the law requires?

The Left has continuously taken the position that election fraud, if it exists at all, is so minute as to be non-existent. Former President Obama has repeatedly stated, “This whole notion of voting fraud, this is something that has constantly been disproved. This is fake news.” Left wing PR outlets like CNN have wagged their tails and piled on this approach.
Earlier this year Senator Alex Padilla (D-CA) stated that fraud was extremely rare. He made this statement after the DOJ sued six states to hand over their voter information. Padilla used the usual talking points that Trump and the Republicans were trying to disenfranchise legitimate voters.
What did the RealAmerica.vote audit find in the NYC mayoral election? 𝟕% 𝐨𝐟 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 simply don’t exist in any record — what Hornik calls synthetic identities. Hmm. 7% is not a minute number of voters.
Another 𝟔% 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 the SSA’s own database flags as never issued. And 10% hadn’t lived in New York City for the entire period from January 2025 through June 2026, meaning they had no legal residency claim to vote in the race at all. “𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺’𝘳𝘦 𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘰-𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮 𝘵𝘰 𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘺𝘷𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴,” Hornik said.
Add it up and Hornik says 23% of the votes she examined came from people who never should have been on the rolls. Independent reporting has since pegged the citywide estimate at roughly 𝟐𝟑𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐬. This is what the cognitively impaired Senator from California calls extremely rare.
New York’s election authorities have not confirmed or disputed the specific figures.
First NJ was caught automatically registering illegal aliens to vote even when they indicated they were not citizens. NJ said 6600 was the count. The DOJ said the count was much higher. Now NYC is caught in a scandal a lot bigger.
Voter ID would help to cure this problem. Of course, then the Democrats might never get elected.
