Trump continues to demonstrate an uncanny ability to accurately assess global markets and how they should function.  Most people would agree that two entities engaging in an uncoerced situation, should be free to make a deal that benefits both of them.  This is the basis for all marketplace transactions.

Vladimir Putin objects to having to sell Russia’s energy products at the “market” rate set by the London financial community when Russia can make a profit directly selling to individual countries at a “discounted” rate.  This is known as a free market.

This is PDJT’s position as well. Trump is accomplishing this by shifting global energy dominance from the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of America.  President Donald J. Trump has delivered on his promise to unleash American energy, putting an end to years of burdensome regulations, job-killing mandates, and foreign-dependent policies.   This is also ending the strangle hold that London had on the “markets.”

In 2025, the United States set a historic new record by exporting more than 100 million metric tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in a single year.  No country had ever done that before.  And this is not a one-off.  LNG exports are expected to continue to expand.

This has provided more high paying jobs while at the same time shifting the balance of payments equation.  This is helping an expanding and robust economy.

President Trump withdrew the U.S. from the Paris Climate Accord and dozens of other Radical Left international climate organizations.  This protects American sovereignty and prevents over $20,000 in lost income per family from burdensome global commitments.

At this point, America now outproduces Saudi Arabia and Russia combined. Trump also opened land, accelerated permits, expanded pipelines and export terminals, and made American energy a tool for prosperity and peace.

PDJT has also jumped in on the nuclear side of the energy equation.  This has led to a nuclear renaissance in this country.  After 40 years without a single, privately developed non-light water reactor coming online, five have done so during the summer.

Oklo was the latest company to do so.  Oklo joins Antares Nuclear, Valar Atomics, Deployable Energy and Aalo Atomics in a growing group of nuclear reactor developers who, under DOE authorization, were able to rapidly move from design to demonstration with first-of-a-kind nuclear technologies. With DOE oversight and technical support, these companies have collectively reset the nuclear industry’s expectations on the timeline for the development and deployment of advanced reactors.

DOE’s new authorization pathway shows how regulatory reform can accelerate innovation and help usher in a golden age for the nuclear energy industry and advancement of President Trump’s Energy Dominance agenda.

For half a century, the Left has done its best to cancel the future.

We were promised nuclear-powered everything. Clean electricity too cheap to meter. Cities in the desert. Nuclear rockets cutting the trip to Mars to months instead of years.  What happened?  Democrats gave us rolling blackouts, German-style “energy transitions,” and a never-ending string of hysterical predictions that never came true and for which no one has apologized even today.

Look at the mess that is California.  Energy costs are much higher than anywhere else in the country.  This is a direct result of the one-party rule there.  Innovation was squashed.  Nuclear plants were retired with no new ones coming online because of the regulatory environment there.

Now Big Tech and AI are suddenly demanding more electricity than the entire U.S. grid can presently provide. And the world is awakening to the fact that our enemies, particularly China, are sprinting ahead on the very technology our ruling class told us to fear.

Rod Martin notes:

From 1954 to 1974, the old Atomic Energy Commission licensed 133 civilian reactors. That was America doing what America does: scaling an epochal technology in record time.

Then the Democrats passed the Energy Reorganization Act, and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission was born.

In the half century since the NRC took over, it has approved exactly two new reactors that actually made it to operational status. Not 200. Not 133. Two.

In typical Deep State fashion, the NRC’s bureaucrats weaponized their political biases. They used fear to create demands for “safety”, and then turned “safety” into a weapon against the very thing they were supposedly regulating.

You can see it in the rules. Take the infamous Linear No-Threshold (LNT) model and its bastard child, ALARA — “As Low As Reasonably Achievable.” In English, LNT says any amount of radiation is harmful; ALARA says regulators must drive that risk as close to zero as possible, no matter what that costs.

Never mind that background radiation varies wildly around the planet with no corresponding cancer spike. Never mind that you get more radiation on a flight from New York to L.A. — or from eating a banana, or from shopping in New York’s Grand Central Station — than from living next to a nuclear plant for a year. Once LNT and ALARA hardened into doctrine, the NRC effectively gave itself a “zero bananas allowed” mandate.

The NRC became a barrier to the advancement of society.  In 40 years the NRC brought just two reactors to the critical state.  Progress in this technology went out the window.  And America has not enjoyed the benefits that were foreseen.

Trump has ended this regulatory nightmare.  New safe designs for nuclear reactors have been created and it is getting to the point where relatively small reactors are becoming feasible.  This certainly could presage a nuclear golden age.  And it is possible because we have a President who is for the people and not the Deep State.
