Challenging Words

This is the best presentation about the absolute evilness of abortion that I have ever heard.  The Rev. John Lankeit gave the following somewhat lengthy homily (20 minutes) on October 2, 2016 in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix, Arizona.  It is relevant today as it was then.

In this homily Rev. Lankeit talks about different aspects of decision-making regarding the casting of a Catholic’s vote in an election.  During this presentation he speaks of prudential decision making where good people can be on different sides of issues and how those issues might be resolved for the betterment of all.  Such issues might include racial injustice, the economy and healthcare.  On such issues Rev. Lankeit does not weigh in from the pulpit regarding which might be better.

Charlie Kirk, president and founder of Turning Point USA, spoke at the Republican National Convention.  Kirk began his speech by warning that this election is about preserving the America of our founding fathers or eliminating all that we love about our country.

Kirk pointed out the corrupt nature of those who have led our government for so long.  He highlighted the efforts of Donald Trump to reclaim the country for its citizens.  Kirk called PDJT our bodyguard, our protector from those who would transform the country away from one of great promise. ...

Sister Dede Byrne, a nun in the Little Workers of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, gave a speech at the RNC in support of human life.  By using the words in the title of this article early on, she put everyone at ease.

Sister Byrne described her route to where she is today.  This has taken her all over the world serving the call of God.

PDJT As A Vessel

This interview of Charlie Kirk is an excerpt of a much longer interview that he did.  It is one of the best descriptions of President Trump’s role within our government.  Kirk answers the critics who try to shame Christians into not voting for PDJT because he is not a perfect human being.  Kirk points out that Trump is the people’s President.  Kirk’s analogies about Trump barring the door to protect Americans are spot on about what is happening in this country.

An Iowa State University professor, one Chloe Clark, threatened to kick any student out of her English 250 class who did a paper or project that opposed the killing of unborn children.  This threat was included in a warning in her syllabus for the class that outlined “grounds for dismissal” from the class.

Nicholas Sandmann…Simple & Direct…Abby Johnson

Comments Off on Nicholas Sandmann…Simple & Direct…Abby Johnson

Perhaps the highlight of the RNC on Tuesday evening was a young man who became the target of the media, of Hollywood celebrities, etc.  A teenage boy was actually threatened with death multiple times by these people.

The facts are not in question.  Nick Sandmann was confronted by a man, who was portrayed as a peaceful Native American, who was supposed to be a Vietnam veteran.  This were bald-faced lies.  Despite extreme provocation by the man, Nick stood quietly without responding. The media attacked the 16-year-old boy.  Why?  Because he was wearing a red MAGA hat. This was fueled entirely by their hatred of Trump.  These unbridled activities by the media to smear Nick later resulted in lawsuits which some media outlets have already settled (notably CNN and WaPo).

Kamala Harris Off Limits

Once Kamala Harris was announced as the VP candidate (actually this happened before such an announcement), a concerned group that included Planned Parenthood sent a letter to the media indicating that critically questioning any woman especially a woman of color who was named as Biden’s running mate was off limits.

The letter was actually a 32-page “guide” that detailed how the media would be allowed to cover Biden’s running mate.  It has been made clear that the group would come after any media outlet that dared to question Harris in any way that they felt was not appropriate.

Cannon Hinnant

Even two weeks after he died not many people recognize the name Cannon Hinnant.  A week after George Floyd died, just about everybody knew his name.  George Floyd died of a drug overdose.  Cannon Hinnant was actually murdered.  Floyd’s death was used to start an insurrection in this country.  Cannon Hinnant’s death might truly ignite a conversation about the value of life.

The facts are not in dispute.  Five year old Cannon was playing outside in the street at about 5:30 PM on Sunday, August 9th.  Multiple eye witnesses said that 25-year-old Darius Sessoms came out of his house.  He walked up to Cannon and fired a gun at Cannon’s head from point blank range as Cannon’s two older sisters, 7 and 8 years old, watched.  When police arrived, they found Cannon suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers and emergency medical services personnel tried to save Cannon’s life before he was taken to the nearby Wilson Medical Center, but he did not survive his injuries.  This is the most appalling child murder in modern history in this country ...

The First Amendment Prevails

Comments Off on The First Amendment Prevails

In a clear victory for religious liberty, the Supreme Court twice decided, by a 7-2 margin, that religious liberties still exist in this country.  In the first case the Little Sisters of the Poor were vindicated by not having to violate their religious beliefs over the sanctity of life.
