The Second Wave

Comments Off on The Second Wave

There is a growing crescendo of opinion among the bobbleheads in the MSM that a second wave of the coronavirus is here.  There has been a spike in cases in some southern states.  This has led to finger-pointing by the media that these governors are putting people’s lives at risk by opening up their economies too quickly.  One state, South Carolina, supposedly has seen new cases rise to around 2000 per day (The real count is closer to 700).  Other states that have rational leadership in the governor’s mansion have seen similar rises.  Is this “surge” real?

It turns out that there has been significant overcounting of the number of individuals with the coronavirus.  According to the far-left publication, The Atlantic,

Biden Vows To Crush Trump Economy

Comments Off on Biden Vows To Crush Trump Economy

“Make America Pay Again.”

It is not an official campaign slogan for the Biden campaign but it should be.  Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, recently told campaign donors that, if elected, he plans to roll back most of PDJT’s tax cuts.  Biden said,

“I’m going to get rid of the bulk of Trump’s $2 trillion tax cut.  A lot of you may not like that, but I’m going to close loopholes like capital gains and stepped-up basis.”

The month of May saw record-setting job gains.  The May jobs report was expected to show job losses of 7 to 8 million.  This was the analysis of the financial experts and Nobel laureate economists.  Instead 2.5 million jobs were ADDED to the economy.  Never in the history of the country have we seen a turnaround like this from one month to the next.  The financial experts got the sign wrong!

More winning.  The June jobs report is now available.  The “experts” had predicted a gain of around 2.5 million jobs. However, the “experts” were way off again.  June saw a growth of 4.8 million jobs, shattering the record set in May.  In addition, the May numbers were revised upward by nearly 200,000 jobs.

Nike is reporting a loss of $790 million (51 cents per share) for its most recent quarter.  This compares to $989 net income a year ago, just before they made their ill-advised business decision about Colin Kaepernick.  Everyone remembers Nike went all-in on their social justice model to make Black Lives Matter activist Colin Kaepernick the image of their brand.

Nike has been trying various approaches to hide the absolutely devastating effect that decision has had on their business.  Nike knows how bad a decision this was.  How many times have you seen a Nike commercial this year that featured Kaepernick as their brand image?

PDJT has said numerous times that the most dangerous cities in the country are run by Democrats and, in most cases, have been for decades.  The Washington Post published an article that went to great lengths to prove him wrong.  This is what they came up with.

So, Is PDJT correct?  Well, not ALL cities are currently run by Democrats.  Jacksonville elected a Republican for the first time in decades during their last mayoral election.  San Antonio has non-partisan elections.  Their mayor is far left. ...

Trade Is Back In The News

Comments Off on Trade Is Back In The News

U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer testified before the House Ways and Means committee and before the Senate Finance Committee on Wednesday.  USTR Lighthizer outlined that the administration plans to continue to demand trade reciprocity.  This is in keeping with PDJT’s long stated policy of equality in trade relations.  Some have characterized this as a zero-zero-zero goal.  That is, PDJT believes there should be zero tariffs, zero barriers and zero subsidies.

PDJT believes in the American worker.  PDJT believes that American workers can compete with workers anywhere in the world if the playing field is level.  To level the playing field has been the goal of his administration since day one

Retail Sales Jump

Arched eyebrows are becoming a regular thing among economic experts who forecast the future of the economy.  At least this time they got the sign right.  Experts were predicting an 8% rise in May.  It turns out that retail sales jumped 17.7%, more than double the experts’ estimates.  This is the largest one-month increase in the history of the country.

Manufacturing Index Surges

Comments Off on Manufacturing Index Surges

Once again the experts found themselves out of the ballpark when it came to predicting the state of manufacturing in America.  Arched eyebrows are becoming “the thing” among economic experts. These numbers will give Nobel laureate Paul Krugman another opportunity to suggest that the numbers are fake.

After three months of broad weakness brought on by COVID-19 business shutdowns/slowdowns, the Manufacturing Index surged 48 points to a reading of negative 0.2 up from negative 48.5 in May.

Hydroxychloroquine Law Suit

Comments Off on Hydroxychloroquine Law Suit

You won’t read about this in the NYTimes.  On June 2nd, the Association of American Physicians & Surgeons (AAPS) filed a lawsuit, AAPS v. FDA, against the Food and Drug Administration to end its arbitrary interference with the use of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ)

HCQ has been approved as safe by the FDA for 65 years, and the CDC states on its website that “CDC has no limits on the use of hydroxychloroquine for the prevention of malaria.”  It has been used in more than 400 FDA-approved clinical trials.
