House Rules Changes Passed

1 Comment on House Rules Changes Passed

With little drama the House of Representatives passed the rules package which will govern their deliberations on Monday night 220-213. It was the first order of business for House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s new majority on the first day of the 118th legislative session. The 55-page package includes most of the concessions McCarthy made to the conservative caucus.

Questions

      Comments Off on Questions

Victor Davis Hanson has questions for the country.  Every American, Democrat, Republican or independent should want answers to these questions.  Perhaps Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Hakeem Jeffries, Kevin McCarthy and Mitch McConnell would deign to answer them since all of this has taken place on their watch.  If they won’t answer them, they should be removed from Congress along with any and all other leadership in Congress who facilitated this coup.

Potemkin Villages and Great Pretending

Neil Oliver hits another home run this week with his monologue.  I agree with Sundance when he says,

“I like Neil Oliver a lot. I like his perspective, his deliberate nature, his refusal to accept the bullshit, and this monologue is one of the reasons why.  I have said it before that in the era of great pretending, the influential people will be those who do not play the game of pretense.  Neil Oliver is one of those people who refuses to play.”

Ukrainian Escalation

As most who are following the conflict in Ukraine know, on New Year’s Day (12:02 AM to be precise), “Ukraine” fired six HIMARS missiles at a Russian troop facility in Donetsk.  Some 80+ troops were killed according to the Russian Ministry of Defense (MOD).  Kiev claimed that some 400 Russian soldiers might have been killed. This has been hailed in the western media as a great Ukrainian victory and proof of the fairy tale that Ukraine is about to overrun the Russians.

Reap What You Sow

How far down the slippery slope is this country?  In Arizona, Maricopa County attorney Tom Liddy argued that it was “political malpractice” for a campaign to tell voters to vote in person on election day instead of voting early.  In the ongoing election trial, Liddy argued that “you reap what you sow,” meaning that Lake’s campaign lost because of the strategy of urging voters to vote in person on Election Day.

Broken System

      Comments Off on Broken System

Representatives that few people have ever heard about are standing up for We The People.  Ralph Norman from South Carolina has distinguished himself by calling out the problems with the “broken system.”

Representative Matt Rosendale (R-MT) is another “voice in the wilderness” telling the truth.  Rosendale railed against Congress’s “broken system” as he nominated Byron Donalds for the 9th round of voting in the race for Speaker of the House on Thursday.

Ralph Norman Speaks Out

Rep. Ralph Norman has written a lengthy piece on the problems in Washington.  Norman is one of the people opposing Kevin McCarthy for Speaker of the House.  His enunciation of his concerns tells just how bad the situation is in Washington that only twenty Republicans have the balls to stand up and speak out.

Ukrainian Money Flow

An interesting infographic from Will Geary [SOURCE] that gives context to the amount of money the United States is spending in Ukraine.  This is being done to support a dictator who has banned opposition political parties, is threatening to close down churches who do not share his “vision of the world” and whose wife just spent 40,000 euros in a few hours at a Paris boutique.

Each dot in the video represents $100,000.00 as outlined.
