Double-barrel Victory

      Comments Off on Double-barrel Victory

Two special elections for the House of Representatives were held on Tuesday in North Carolina.  These were for NC3 and NC9.  The Republican who had represented NC3 died after winning re-election in 2018.  In NC9 Mark Harris, the incumbent Republican, edged Dan McCready, a smooth talking and personable Democrat by a few hundred votes in 2018.  However, the NC Board of Elections refused to certify the win.

The reason?  Apparently a political consultant for the Harris campaign allegedly mishandled some absentee ballots.   The Board of Elections felt the case was strong enough to call for another election. This mishandling of absentee ballots is currently being litigated in the courts in NC.

It sounds an awful lot like the “harvesting” of ballots that took place in California during the 2018 elections.  In some counties in California, more than 250,000 absentee ballots were “harvested.”  The result was the flipping of a considerable number of House districts from Republican to Democratic hands.  No charges have been filed in California.

John Ratcliffe Discusses DOJ/FBI Expectations and SSCI Involvement in Blocking His DNI Nomination…

Posted on September 8, 2019by sundance

Representative John Ratcliffe was/is a key member of the House who has investigated the details of the DOJ and FBI intelligence abuse during the 2016 election.  Factually, Ratcliffe is one of only a few high-clearance House members who had seen all of the unredacted and classified documents associated with the DOJ and FBI activity. ...

Moonbat Crazy

Moonbat crazy.  It is the only way to describe what happened in the House on Tuesday.  Speaker Pelosi speaking as a member not as speaker broke the Rules of the House and had her speaking privileges revoked by the House Parliamentarian.  It is the first time in decades that a member has had this happen and for it to happen to the Speaker is highly unusual.

Go Directly To Jail

HPSCI ranking member Devin Nunes (R-CA) was interviewed by Bill Hemmer last week.  During the interview he warned that there will be massive political consequences if Justice Department officials don’t face jail time for their conduct during the Russia collusion hoax.  It is a warning that AG Bill Barr and the Department of Justice should take very seriously.

Via Fox News – […] According to Nunes, the Russia investigation was an “obstruction of justice trap,” that started without evidence of collusion and ended in an “awful situation” that could only be fixed by jailing the people who “perpetuated this hoax.” ...

Soap, Toothbrushes And Blankets

Over the years it has been very unusual to find something that the Democrats wouldn’t spend money on.  The Party has universally been big spenders when it comes to using taxpayer money. Faced with a problem, their answer is almost always “spend more money.”  Rarely do they ever look to find out the root causes of a problem.  They epitomize a most terrifying sentence that was made famous by President Reagan.

“I’m from the government and I’m here to help.”

Entrapment

      Comments Off on Entrapment

An interesting article appeared a few days ago over at CTH.  In it Sundance, with the help of some individuals who did a deep dive into some recently released FOIA material, exposes more corruption in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.

The article documents an entrapment scheme on George Papadopoulos run by the SC’s office.

Key takeaways from this article are:

  • The SC investigation was corrupt at its highest levels
  • FARA (Foreign Agent Registration Act) violations were the common source of trying to get leverage over targets of the investigation.
  • Manufacturing criminal conduct was a tool in the SC’s toolbox.
  • It may be that Andrew Weissmann was more in charge of the investigation than Robert Mueller was.

Hell Freezes Over

Has hell frozen over?  On the day before federal tax returns were due to be filed last week, the NYTimes ran a piece that admitted, rather belatedly, that PDJT’s tax reform package of 2017 resulted in lower taxes for the vast majority of Americans.

The reductions were broad-based and hit all levels of the middle class just as PDJT and the Republicans said it would.  This is logical since the tax rate for middle-income earners was cut and the standard deduction was increased. Fewer than one in ten households across the entire spectrum of tax filers, rich and poor, actually saw an increase in federal taxes.  And less than 2% of lower income filers were in this category.
