The House Is On Fire

The June “Producer Price Index” (PPI) has been released and it is not pretty.  The June PPI shows an 11.3% increase year-over-year in final demand products at the wholesale level.  The fact that it is significantly higher than the CPI (9.3%) indicates that we are nowhere close to seeing a leveling off of the inflation rate.  Joe Biden’s statement in December that inflation had peaked at 7% may soon look like a valley.

Odds & Ends

Comments Off on Odds & Ends

The great divide in America is not between lefties and righties. The divide is between the governed and the government.

Our politicians are just grubby money men out of touch with the country. And that brings me to the January 6 obsession in Washington.

Food inflation is in the double-digits. It costs $100 now to fill up a pickup truck. Baby formula and tampons are in short supply. Soon we may be unable to fuel the trucks that deliver our goods and that includes food.  The stock market is tanking. Poverty has come for many due to the insane lockdowns of the recent COVID era and it is just around the corner for many others. Drug overdose deaths now top 100,000 a year. Millions of terrorists, gangbangers and other illegal aliens have flooded in under Biden and been sent across the country.

So what do the Democratic elites in Congress do?  Congress hires a former ABC executive to put together a TV extravaganza on J6.  Are you kidding me?  Just how out of touch are these people?

Salena Zito notes:

“This ugly reality will affect the elections this fall, probably far more than the political class understands. Why? Because they never take the time to walk down a street like Cedar Avenue and ask how it is going. More importantly, they take for granted that they will always have the voters they have always had, never realizing most people have a breaking point.”

Let’s hope this is true.

Economic Security

      Comments Off on Economic Security

Economic security is the foundation for national security.  How did PDJT get elected in 2016?  His views on the American economy, his belief in the American worker set him apart from the crowded Republican primary field in 2016 and propelled him to the forefront.  Despite being outspent more than 2 to 1 in the presidential election, Trump prevailed because he was able to communicate this foundational idea on economic security to the public.

Sanctions

Just how much pain are the sanctions inflicting on the Russian people?  We have been told by Big Media that the Russian people will soon rise up against Vladimir Putin because of the difficulties being experienced.

YouTube has a video tour of a grocery outside St Petersburg that shows just how difficult things have become for the Russian people.

We are hearing from all sides about solutions to the massacre in Uvalde, Texas.  Don Surber has some thoughts:

How about we have Congress do nothing?

How about we have the president do nothing?

How about we have the entire nation just take a chill pill?

Pray for the victims. Pray for the families of the victims. Pray for the town of Uvalde.

But remember, we did not create a federal government to protect us from every imaginable evil and every tragedy in life. We already have paid too much for believing we should have an omnipotent government that protects us 24/7.

You know who gets 24/7 protection, free health care and free food?

Prisoners.

He has a point.

Are The Democrats Revealing Their Strategy For The Mid-terms?

The Democrats surely believed that they would be rid of PDJT by now.  They stole the election, labeled it a lie to say so and thought that the public would buy their crap.  As it turns out, PDJT is still one of the most popular political figures in the country.  Arguably he is more popular now than in 2020.  What didn’t destroy him has made him stronger.

Trump has been joined by others who are standing up for values that the Democrats despise.  Among them is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis who has demonstrated conclusively that elections have consequences.  Just ask the Disney Corporation about that.  DeSantis has also demonstrated that standing up for the common people all the time is a winning strategy.

First Day On The Job

Comments Off on First Day On The Job

Where do they get these people?  The first day on the job can be challenging for anyone.  However, when one is the White House Press Secretary one should be able to at least partially respond to a reporter’s question even if it means lying.  Karine Jean-Pierre does not appears to possess even that skill.
