Transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg has returned from paternity leave and held a press conference. Perhaps Buttigieg should have stayed on paternity leave. Then we would not know just how much of an idiot he actually is. Buttigieg actually stated that the design of some underpasses built on the nation’s highway system are racist. In NY Buttigieg said that underpasses that were built too low to allow busses to pass under them was the result of racist decisions during the design of the roads. And this man actually was a leading contender for the Democratic Party nomination before the DNC decided to fix the primaries for Joe Biden.

U.S. Energy Secretary, Jennifer Granholm, goes on CNN and claims that the Biden administration has no responsibility for gas prices likely to reach $4/gal. She adds that Americans this year are almost certain to pay historic amounts for home heating oil and natural gas as well. Again, she disclaims all responsibility for the fiasco that the administration is inflicting on America. What planet is this person from?

Dealing With Extremists

We have heard a lot about the threat from “domestic extremists” from the current administration. In order to understand the potential threat, a clear understanding of the word extremist is needed.

According to the Oxford Dictionary, an extremist is:

A person who holds extreme or fanatical political or religious views, especially one who resorts to or advocates extreme action.

Such people oppose the core principles of democracy and civil rights. Political extremists often show disdain for the rights and liberties of others. However, any attempts to limit their activities result in resentment and violence. Extremists favor censorship of those of differing viewpoints but use intimidation and manipulation to spread their own assertions and claims. They often use “injustice” as an excuse for acts of violence.
