One has to look at the whole gamut of what is going on to fully appreciate that. What might seem to be one thing on the surface can turn out to be something else entirely.
Another example of the politicization of the law enforcement agencies in this country surfaced last week. Steve Bannon, an outspoken supporter of President Trump, was indicted on a litany of charges related to attempting to build a wall on the southern border.

President Joe Biden’s announcement that the government would forgive some student debt for individuals earning less than $125,000 was welcome news to many carrying large loan balances. But 13 states have laws that treat this forgiven debt as income, meaning that it’s subject to state levies on earnings.
This entire episode is a reminder that there’s no such thing as a free lunch.
