Pelosi Cracks The Whip

During the mid-term election campaigns last year, Pelosi had given strict instructions to those who were running for office not to speak the “I” word, that is, impeachment. If the question came up, the candidates were to deflect, dissemble and otherwise avoid answering the question.

“This election cannot be about impeachment. I don’t think it’s in the interest of America’s working families to focus on that, unless we have more to go on, which we don’t at this time. I think it’s not unifying for the country.”

Pelosi wasn’t worried about the country. She knew that it would hurt the chances of Democratic candidates if they showed support for the idea of impeachment. That would hurt her chances of becoming Speaker of the House again. The Democrats were to campaign on “governing” and bringing “civility” back to Washington. In other words they were to lie to the public and pull the wool over the public’s eyes about their real intentions.

CNN Supports Congressional Abuse Of Power

A week or so ago, Julie Pace, an anti-Trumper who pretends to be an impartial journalist, went on CNN, the network that is shedding employees like there is no tomorrow. And that may be the case for CNN. Pace reported that Pelosi knows that she cannot win an impeachment proceeding. The Senate will not convict on whatever made-up charges that the Democrats concoct. Pelosi and her entrenched Democratic brethren are not interested in pursuing legitimate legal inquiries into PDJT. They are a lot more interested in doing opposition research for the 2020 election and “impeachment” proceedings may be the vehicle for doing that.

In what historians will undoubtedly debate as a master stroke, PDJT announced on Friday that the tariffs on aluminum and steel from Canada and Mexico had been removed. At the same time Canada and Mexico removed their tariffs on American goods. All of this is expected to be in effect by Monday, May 20th.

Bloomberg…President Donald Trump said the U.S. will lift steel and aluminum tariffs on Canada and Mexico, boosting efforts to encourage lawmakers to ratify a new North American trade deal (USMCA).

Barr Cited For Refusing To Break Law

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) outlines the political motives of Jerry Nadler (Chair-House Judiciary Committee) and his fellow Democrats in moving to cite AG Barr for contempt of Congress. As Jordan states forcefully, Barr was being cited because he refused to break the law.

The Democratic Party is in full-blown meltdown mode. During the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Wednesday, Senator Maxie Hirono (D-HI) went off the rails and accused AG Barr of lying on more than one occasion to Congress. A case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) as bad as this has never been seen in public before.

During the committee hearing, Sen. Hirono called on Attorney General William Barr to resign, saying he is no different from others in the Trump administration who have sacrificed “their once decent reputations for the grifter and liar who sits in the Oval Office.” Kamala Harris of California trying to revive her failing campaign for the Democratic nomination joined in the demand for Barr to resign. Although Sen. Hirono asked several questions of Barr, she never gave him a chance to answer.

On Wednesday AG Bill Barr is scheduled to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee. On Thursday, the House Judiciary Committee has requested his presence. There appears to be some problem with the House request since Chairman Nadler only wants Barr to take questions from the committee staff counsels rather than the committee members. Barr is refusing to do this.

Linked below is an insightful piece on the Special Counsel’s investigation done by Sundance over at CTH. It shows there never was a Trump-Russia-Collusion conspiracy case to begin with. The Mueller Report shows that most of the SC’s investigative time was spent gathering evidence for an obstruction case over a crime that never happened. In other words it was a trap that they were trying to ensnare the President with. Witch hunt is the appropriate word.

It was the obstruction investigation that would help Pelosi and Nadler achieve impeachment. This piece shows that most of the $35 million that was spent from May 2017 through to March 2019 was for the sole purpose of achieving the Democrats’ objective of impeaching the President because they did not like his ideas or politics. ...

Democrats Fear Mueller Report

Thursday is shaping up to be an interesting day. The long-awaited Mueller Report is scheduled to be released. On March 24^ththe AG had announced the results of the Mueller investigation. It exonerated PDJT and his campaign of all wrongdoing during the 2016 election campaign. It confirmed what PDJT had said all along.

On Wednesday, it was announced that, at 9:30 AM on Thursday, the AG will hold a press conference followed by release of the report between 11 and 12. This set the Democrats’ hair on fire. Leading the charge was Rep. Adam Schiff who had teased America for two years with comments. These comments made it seem like he knew “classified” stuff that showed without a shadow of a doubt that PDJT was guilty. All of that vanished along with his credibility when AG Barr announced “No collusion.”

What Are The Democrats Plotting?

Throughout the mid-term election campaign the DNC instructed their candidates to downplay, deflect and avoid any discussions of impeachment. They knew that this was a non-starter with much of the American public despite a 24/7 news cycle that tried to denigrate and smear PDJT. There were also hundreds of hours of fake news coverage claiming imminent arrest of members of Trump’s family, administration, etc. The Dems promised to restore “civility” to Washington. They also campaigned on governing for the best interests of the American public.

It was all a sham. They lied to the public in order to get control of Congress. They succeeded in the House. Fortunately they did not get control of the Senate despite what appeared to be voter fraud in more than one state. The situation in Brevard County in Florida was ridiculous.

This pretense of civility and governing lasted until the 1^st day of Congress. On the day new members of the House were sworn in, Rep. Tlaib raved on camera, “We’re going to impeach the MFer.”
