Leftist Insanity

      Comments Off on Leftist Insanity

The absolute insanity of the Covington Catholic High School debacle continues.  For those with short memories, the media out and out lied about the Lincoln Memorial incident. A Catholic high school group, who were waiting for their bus after attending the annual March for Life, was the targets of two groups of leftist racists.  These racists insulted them with all kinds of despicable slurs. This went on for over an hour.  The kids responded with good-natured school-spirit chants, attempting to drown out the belligerent taunts. They didn’t respond with insults or any physical aggression of their own. They would have made Martin Luther King, Jr. proud by how they conducted themselves.  When the busses arrived, they departed.  We know what the media reported. ...

Net Neutrality Apocalypse

Comments Off on Net Neutrality Apocalypse

An Internet Apocalypse was forecasted when the FCC under the Trump administration announced it was rolling back the “Net Neutrality” rules put in place under the Obama administration in 2015.

This abandonment of government regulation of the Internet was supposed to kill the Internet as we knew it. But as we take a closer look a year after the regulations were abolished , what has actually happened?  Has the Internet died?  Have big companies raised their rates?  Has competition been killed?  Has there been no change?  Or have things actually improved? ...

Tijuana

      Comments Off on Tijuana

Over the weekend 500 to 1000 migrants from Central America decided to try to invade the country from Tijuana.  The showdown at the San Diego-Tijuana border crossing has contrasted two competing narratives about the caravan of migrants hoping to come into America but stuck on the Mexican side. Some see them as a threat to U.S. national security.  Others insist that they are primarily women and children fleeing violence.

So what was the truth? There are women and children in the caravan.  But, they are a minority.  The U.S. Border Patrol’s top agent in the San Diego region said the migrants used some women and children as human shields as they hurled rocks and debris at officers guarding a fence. ...

Mid-Term Election Results, Part 3

1 Comment on Mid-Term Election Results, Part 3

The Democrats won control over the House of Representatives.  What does this mean going forward?

An intellectually honest review of the possibilities must encompass what the Democrats have done in the recent past.  The last time the Dems regained power in the House was in 2006 during Bush 43’s second term.

In doing this review one must keep in mind the Democrats’ 1stcommandment as noted by Dee Chadwell:

Back in 2006 the American public had not yet been primed for a Marxist-type social order.  It was important to appear centrist while at the same time encouraging some political violence “against capitalism.”  Nancy Pelosi said of the Occupy Wall Street violent anarchists, “God bless these people.” ...

As the elections draw closer, it is a good time to reflect on the liberties and rights that we enjoy in America.  The most fundamental of all the rights that we enjoy is contained in the 1st Amendment.

Kelvin Cochran Vindicated

Comments Off on Kelvin Cochran Vindicated

In what is clearly a victory for free speech and the free expression of religion, the City of Atlanta has agreed to settle with Kelvin Cochran for $1.2 million in damages and attorneys’ fees.  For those who may not remember him, Mr. Cochran was the Atlanta Fire Chief who was suspended in November, 2014 for writing a book on his own time that expressed biblical views on marriage and sex.  He was later fired in January, 2015.  This happened at the height of the hysteria that said everyone must approve of same sex marriage.

Kavanaugh Exoneration

      Comments Off on Kavanaugh Exoneration

Early voting has begun in some states for the 2018 election cycle.  As we do so, it is important to remember the recent activities of the Democratic Party.  In particular, everyone needs to remember what the Democrats and their allies in the media did to people like Brett Kavanaugh, Mark Judge, Leland Keyser, etc.

Jack Cashill has posted a report over at American Thinker regarding the whole sordid Kavanaugh affair.  See it here.

Jack is willing to grant that there may be some truth to Christine Blasey Ford’s story.  However, he lays out in detail both the material and non-material deceptions in her testimony and her letter.  He also shows how such evidence that exists exonerates Brett Kavanaugh. ...

Mid-Terms

      Comments Off on Mid-Terms

Are the 2018 mid-term elections the most important in America’s history? It seems like every election is supposed to be the most important.  I do not think these mid-terms are the most important elections.  The most important election in the country’s history was 2016. It is hard to imagine how different the country would be if HRC had won that election.

North Platte Canteen

Comments Off on North Platte Canteen

A feel-good story for those of us who need one after all the negativity of the last few months.

A remarkable event occurred in June in western Nebraska, a reflection of a city’s history, pride and appreciation for the military.  The spirit of the North Platte Canteen resurrected itself.
