Silicon Valley Bank was closed by bank regulators on Friday. In an unusual move the closure took place during the business day and not after the markets had closed. Its failure was the second largest in US history and the largest since the financial crisis of 2008. On Sunday Signature Bank was closed as well.

On March 1st, Chuck Schumer (D-NY) Senate majority leader, and Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), the House minority leader, called for Tucker Carlson, et al, to be made to bow down and back away from the Big Lie that Joe Biden won the 2020 election. This was a direct attack on the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights.

The length of time that campaigning for the presidency in this country goes on is ridiculous. However, as some say, it is what it is. The campaign season for both the DNC and the RNC is well underway. For the RNC their issue is how to stop the juggernaut that is the MAGA movement.
