The Hunter Biden sweetheart deal fell apart on Wednesday in a Delaware court room. One of the topline issues was an admission by federal prosecutors that an additional investigation of Hunter Biden is ongoing, as the tax evasion and federal gun charge deal was brokered.
The judge noted that the deal appeared to exempt Hunter Biden from any future charges. To be sure, the judge asked the DOJ directly. When Judge Noreika questioned the prosecution about this immunity implication, the US attorneys said future immunity was not part of this agreement. At that point the Hunter Biden defense team then acted surprised, saying if this is the accurate position of the DOJ then any plea deal is “null and void.”
