Appeals Court Orders Dismissal

Comments Off on Appeals Court Orders Dismissal

The three judges (Henderson, Wilkins, Rao) on the DC Circuit Court of Appeals have approved a writ of mandamus ordering Judge Emmet Sullivan to dismiss the case against Michael Flynn.  Judge Rao wrote the opinion for the majority.  The decision can be found here.

The panel ruled that U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan overstepped his authority in not accepting the unopposed motion and in questioning the prosecutors’ decision.

The US Attorney of SDNY

Comments Off on The US Attorney of SDNY

What is the problem with the US Attorney position in the Southern District of New York?  Shortly after PDJT took office, PDJT decided to replace Preet Bharara as the US Attorney in SDNY.  There is nothing unusual about an incoming President replacing US Attorneys.  After all, they are political appointees and serve at the pleasure of the President.

In March 1993 President Bill Clinton had Attorney General Janet Reno fire 93 of the 94 U.S. Attorneys appointed by the prior administration.  In 2009, President Obama asked for the resignation of all George W. Bush-appointed U.S. Attorneys.  He replaced virtually all of them.  Nary a word was spoken about this.   It was treated as nothing out of the ordinary.

Minneapolis In Chaos

Comments Off on Minneapolis In Chaos

As was predicted, Minneapolis police officers are quitting the department in droves.  At least seven officers have already resigned and at least seven more are in the process of doing so.  This comes after the city council decided to disband the department.  Precisely what will take its place if anything is not known at this point.

A police spokesman tried to downplay the departures by saying that people leave the department all the time.  While people leaving employment for a new and different job is not unusual, the question is who will replace them?  Who would want to become an officer in the MPD at this point in time?  There is no future here with the department being disbanded.

Chicago Untamed

      Comments Off on Chicago Untamed

In what could be a prelude to what might happen if police forces are defunded/disbanded in various cities as is currently being pushed by various violent groups as well as ignorant city council members, Chicago experienced its deadliest day in 60 years on Sunday, May 31st.   Chicago saw 18 murders in 24 hours.

A Day In The Sunshine

Dr. Ivette Lozano has been a physician for 29 years.  She gives full disclosure at the beginning of her talk that she is an activist.  Dr. Lozano said she became an activist when Obamacare was passed into law.

Currently practicing the Dallas area, Dr. Lozano discussed treatment options for Wuhan virus patients.  She talks about the drug touted by PDJT during one of his daily press briefings.   Although that treatment was being used around the world, its potential use in America was attacked and vilified by the media and the medical establishment in this country.  The media and Dr. Fauci were successful in inhibiting the use of this treatment especially before hospitalization.

The video is somewhat lengthy.

Facebook Opposes 1st Amendment Activities

Comments Off on Facebook Opposes 1st Amendment Activities

Americans all over the country are rising up against draconian lockdown orders by governors who believe they have become dictators.  These governors are trashing constitutional rights and freedoms.  The inner totalitarianism of these wannabe tyrants is now on display in many states.  Michigan, New Jersey and Virginia have been in the forefront of curtailing the God-given rights of Americans in their states.  Of course, they are not the only ones.

Patriotic Americans began to organize peaceful protests against government overreach regarding Shelter-In-Place executive orders through Facebook.  Such Americans were in for a surprise.  When they tried to network on Facebook, Facebook officials were quick to snitch to state governors in an effort to prevent these activities.

American Liberty reports,

AG Barr Issues Order

Comments Off on AG Barr Issues Order

AG Barr has taken an interest in the possibility that states may be violating their citizens’ rights with Stay-At-Home orders.  And it is more than just a passing interest.  On Monday Barr ordered federal prosecutors across the U.S. to identify coronavirus-related restrictions from state and local governments that may exceed constitutional bounds.  Interestingly enough, along with the head of the Civil Rights Division, he assigned the US Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan to coordinate these efforts. Governor Whitmer of Michigan has been one of the most dictatorial ones in restricting her citizens’ rights of speech and association.  Was Barr sending a message?

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

Comments Off on Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

As I write this, I am not confident enough to say in any real way whether the economic shutdown that we are currently experiencing was necessary or not.  There are non-hysterical arguments to be made on both sides of the question.

One of the things that seems clear to me is that the CDC and the FDA were not prepared for this pandemic.  This is despite the fact that America spends enormous amounts of money on these bureaucracies.  Is it way past time to take a close look at how these agencies spend our tax dollars?
